Lil D is doing better actually got up and played some this week and holding his own on his Home Bound school efforts. Still pretty apprehensive to eat but his Daddy & Mommy and anther couple are taking everyone to the park Saturday for a BBQ. All the helpful "special recipes" are meaning a lot of things have been adapted but he will get to have a near Normal meal without being afraid it is going to send him racing for the hospital.

I really appreciate everyone supporting us. I thought I was a tough cookie but a sick Grandchild will bring you to your knees really fast and it is a great help to depend on your faith to bolster ours.

Another update. Talked to my Grand Sunday for quite a while and he seemed in a LOT better spirits. Chattering along about trying to make a video game with one of his little buddies. Wore himself out re-arranging his room to be a design "studio". His Daddy computer buddy is going to get him a wifi card that he is over the moon about. Assisted technology makes this ordeal so much more bearable for the kids who have to cope with a body that fights them.

Thanks again everyone. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. Keep praying for a cure.

Another update...

Still doing better day by day. Learning how to stay with foods that don't give him misery.

Grandma is doing her best to product test and master the diet limits and get good at cooking what he can eat as a matter of routine.

Brother has his leg in a cast from his foot to his hip so he has companionship but poor Mommy is sure having to Scramble. Sure being a trooper through all of it. Hugs ((((Daughter from Another Mother)))).

Hugs to ((((Son)))) who busted his behind and got a job promotion/raise despite the stress.

Grandma is dancing on the clouds.

Another trip to the specialist and lot of good news. His enzyme tests were suggesting he is getting a little better numbers and two weeks with no loss of weight adding strength.

Daddy had three days off for the Memorial weekend and they really enjoyed the "yard" time together.

Special thanks to his devoted Home School teacher for helping him catch up in school and return to honor roll grades. A smart little bugger it helped him feel like his dreams of being a brainiac were still good. Hoping to be mainstreamed once again this fall.

So grateful his home room teacher helped his buddies there keep in contact and the Mom that brought their child clear across town for a visit has been a Godsend. Sometimes the "little" inconvienent kindnesses can ease suffering a great deal.

I am printing and including all your lovey posts in a special diet cook book that I have been scrap booking together. Hugs and kisses Mingleland friends. Star
