I did. Im fine with sex education as it is , its nothing to do with 'romance'.

I believe these types of non quantitative undocumented ideals and theories should be learned from family and community and not the public educational system which bends to the will of political agendas,,

and if not,, I absolutely hope it is always the case that these things are not 'mandatory' but able to be opted out of....

Well said ^^^^^ It is up to the parents/ family & cultural/ religions views. RESPECTING those, does NOT mean anyone is living in the " dark ages " ... that is the media & agenda talking & pushing all this.
Assuming that those parents or groups.. objecting to any or all of the teaching are a 'small vocal minority' is a mistake & underestimating people.

Teaching ...
1- Romance - it is not necessary for a marriage and can & will insult the people who STILL do have & arrange marriages & do not see 'romance' as 'necessary' for engagement. And those who view FAMILY as the focus & NOT themselves.* Disney movie? slaphead ...*
2- Birth Control - not all people approve or what their children taught that.
3- Oral & **** sex- is still illegal in many states & not all people believe those acts are okay or natural, or spiritual or even permissible.
4- Abortion- legal yes. Accepted- not always, sometimed never.
5-Premarital Sex - of ANY kind. Not ALL people approve or want that taught as 'the norm' or even IMPLIED.
Again- there are still laws that exist that ANY sex, outside of marriage is illegal. And their are divorce, lawsuits over it. Not to mention any 'Faith based ' lifestyle.

ALL these ^^^^ teachings IS dangerous because it is THREATING to Families, Religious & Culturals ... of ANY kind in the world.

Taking the POWER away from the PARENTS (& their beliefs... whatever that is, even if it is ONLY opinion) is dangerous. It is just a STATE DICTATING to them, HOW THEIR children & family SHOULD be.
This is NOT about education. It is about STATE control.

* Besides- there is NO REAL evidence that teaching any of the current or new agenda will HELP or SAVE or PREVENT anything... just because people can refer to something as 'educational' or 'knowledge', does NOT make it a GOOD thing *

flowerforyou That's my opinion. It won't change anyone's opinion here or forums or the world. Not intended to.
And nobody can change mine either.
Surprised surprised if anyone could think they are that powerful noway
Hell... I'm surprised my thread is still going... * imaging pat on the back smiley *

Hey Sassy, this ^^ is a good postwinking ...There is always two sides to every coin...My belief or philosophy is information and awareness is key..Even though you and I disagree about making Sex and Relationship Education a mandatory subject in EVERY state, I do feel it is also imperative that EVERY state give parents the right to opt-out for their kids...The reason I feel this way is because it tells me that the parents who wish to instruct and educate their kids "their" way are engaged, they are parenting, they are doing their job!...But what happens to those kids who are living in homes that are without love, guidance, nurturing?...Those are the kids who can and do benefit when they receive "quality" information about human sexuality....The bottom line for me is, as adults, all of us are obligated to do everything in our power to protect and promote children...

I think sex ed is ok to be taught in schools as a science.
This gender fluidity thing seems to be crossing the line a bit...
And there are some issues that need more thorough and sensitive explanations given to high school age groups...not really something that most schools allow for... Handing out certain information without properly qualifying it can lead to lots of trouble, esp with teens and pre-teens...

Mandatory as it applies to public schools, meaning Sex and Relationships classes would become "required" curriculum for public schools....How that applies to parents could then be made flexible enough to accommodate those parents who wish to opt-out for their children...Making it mandatory for the public schools means they (the schools) must put in place everything that is necessary to teach a quality class...So the short answer to your question is BOTH...

the "gender fluidity" thing was started by some liberals in college, as a new way to be weird...

you are what you're born being, there's not much to change that...

Well...however which way this concept was conceived...i dont really see how including it in the primary/secondary education curriculum can help, more than it can damage...

it can't, the liberals are just too pushy on things like this... they are pushing the gay agenda more than the gays are, which is what this all boils down too...

Well, exactly...that's why it's terribly important that we deal with the naivety/romance thought process that the pre-teen girls bring into the dating cycle and get so quickly let astray by their 'LECHEROUS' older boy friends Jr/Sr {more knowledgeable - looking for their virgins}...as with that most recent out break of STD's in Texas public school. Forewarned is forearmed and 'SAFE SEX' protects them all; the wide spread oral STD's has been due to the 'MISS INFORMATION' that ORAL SEX not only kept your virginity but you'd not get STD'S...well, part of that rumor was correct but unfortunately for all those that are now being treated for their STD's the end result wasn't quite what they'd imagined their 'Safe Sexual Encounter' would end up as!

WRONG - and it's about medical science; being 'LIBERAL' has nothing to do with it...but keep hammering away at it like that solve anything! slaphead
They've found what identifies our sexuality come from deep within our brain not from our gentile...that area is formed early on in the embryo and the chromosomes & signals come from our BRAIN --- ergo when a baby is born and their confused about their sexuality and have dual genital {both intersex} the way doctors have been treating them has been 'WRONG'!

a very small percentage of people are born with "dual" sexual organs, thats not the problem... when men or women decide they are not what they are born with, thats the problem... if they think they are NOT what they were born as, then you are 100% correct, it is a brain fault, as in something is wrong with their brain...

coddling them like the liberals do isn't helping, it only confuses them more... and it also promotes more people to act crazy with it and allows them to think it is ok when it is not...

and a baby is never confused about sexuality, not until they reach a certain age and start thinking it's ok to think crazy, because they are being coddled by the liberals...

liberals are about 75% of the worlds problems right now, and your snide remarks will not change that in my mind...

so come on, bring out your next snide remark...

just like a liberal, you want to twist things around... did you not read what i typed? i noticed you just used part of my response, a part that suits your wants... the rest said that liberals just want to coddle them, not that their brain spasms are liberals fault...

now you know why i can't stand liberals, they are all pretty much just like you, thinking they are so much smarter than everyone else... next time, post my whole response, then we can have a somewhat interesting conversation, instead of your spin tactics...

Seriously what When you can't post without slamming 'THE LIBERAL LABEL' around like you've been justified with your ideology...beating your chest because 'YOU SAY SOOOO'...good grief

I'll pulled the only TRUTH that you posted; the rest was just more hysteria and biased rants that you do what you do like it has merit.

And the reason 'Medical Science' has been looking so deeply at the common core for the confusion and problems with 'Inter-sexed Children'...was from the problems that they created with their surgical procedures in the past.

But continue on with your hair on fire and ranting away that it's all due to 'LIBERAL CODDLING'...it makes you sound so unqualified to maintain an adult discussion about most anything!
Feeling inferior stems from something within your own self-esteem --- something you can correct by READING! flowers

Moe.. Moe.. Moe..

It's science man.. You can't argue with that. Haven't you learned from the man made global warming debate that once someone claims their views are based on science then it is case closed?

No scientist in the history of the world has ever been wrong... Come on man.. You know that..

It definitely should be optional, so yes "opt out " & in writing, from the parents, for either way.

The "romance" part (even though I joked about a Disney movie) ...
I see as the MOST dangerous.
Because that is OPINION. The Liberal States/ Government/ Gender Fluidity opinion.

" Gender is fluid, you can be whatever you want when you want "

Which leads to- We are all the same, wonderful creatures. Have sex with whatever creature you want.
* children, relatives, animals*

Sheep are in porn movies now (in parts of Europe, where all this thinking began) so yes it can & will happen.

And mharmony,.. you and I and MANY others, will be saying, AGAIN...
" I TOLD YOU SO"

"science" has been debating nature vs nurture since the 1860's after Galtons heritability study and his books on the subject.

It is now 2015 and even with the advances in "science" there is still a clear difference of opinion.

it seems to me "nature" has the advantage, since humans have been around for a few 100,000 years or so... to me, telling people that it's ok to have sex with whoever/whatever you want to make you feel good is just a misdirected attempt at justifying gayness... i have no problem with people wanting be gay, but i don't think it should be advertised like it is a bottle of coke... it seems it just proves it is a choice, because they recruit children they might not have been gay otherwise...

 And where is all this proof? I have waiting since 1975.
Lke many sciences it is an INEXACT Science.
Sadly, lots of conditioning. Been happening for 50 yrs
* Took Nazi Germany a long time too. It is a slow process, so the public excepts without revolution *
From - the 10% story, parades, rainbows, adoption, gay marriage... it just keeps going.... until we reach the point that we see like NOW on forums ... grumble but nation wide & then globally.

" If you don't like it, believe it, tolerate & except. Then something is wrong with YOU. "
