Do you have any? Mine happened in high school.

Ima thinkin anyone who doesn't have a scare or two of 'any' kind is not living right....smokin ...I got my share, but they are personal...Some required stitches, others just a dab of neosporin and a bandaid...

Yeah, definitely. The bumps and bruises of Southern living. smokin

They gonna pop up one way or the other lol

waving Morning ((((Sub))))...I got most of mine when I lived up north.... ...

Mine were slowly added over the years, usually doing something stupid.

Even got invisible scars, lol. Once grabbed in the washing-up bowl for cutlery, accidentally had put my new, very extremely ridiculous sharp knife in it.... has a sharp point as well .... to the bone in my middle finger ... f*** did that hurt! But... no scar. Although maybe my fingerprint has changed a bit now, lol

THat's one of many... Once tripped during P.E. class, long story short... a deep nasty head wound, never seen so much blood in my life, lol. Running through me fingers, like what you see in a horror movie. Scared the bejesus out of my PE teach, haha. And all the other pupils too. Shrieking girls and stuff.

That's enough horror for now I think ... Don't want to have mods come careening round the corner to delete my posts.

I've got serious scars. All three areas. 15 years old, virgin, closest friend of 10 years since kindergarten shot himself in the heart for an open casket, with a gun that I stole from an off-duty cop, over an ex girlfriend...turned me away from dating.

16 yrs old, diagnosed with bipolar and locked up in an asylum.

18 yrs old, got off meds and put back in a now adult asylum, told a guy my past and he offered me a female in there, I was scared shitless in that place but got my first kiss, blowjob, and lost virginity in that place to a 23 year old chick who was by no means attractive, cuts her wrists and hears voices in her head.

19 yrs old, started having sex and messing around with random girls.

24 years old today, quit screwing around and got tested, I'm clean, and looking for my first ever actual date with more than sex, and ultimately a relationship.

I have one from last year. I don't really talk about it to anyone. I just keep hoping that he'll get what he deserves.

I have an physiologically negative reaction to bodies in my personal space due to having been choked several times when I was younger,,,,,

other than that,, nothing I can think of off the top of my head

All of the above, 'pansy' thanks for your insight.

Scars in my heart began since college

I will stop there

Well, I'm going to sound like a complete klutzes here but it's the life I've lead while working around horses and roping! blushing

Broken bones:
Both my wrists in 5th grade - horse accident
L-knee - busted up team roping pile up
Both Legs - Barbed wire scars around {hole marked} - trying to free a horse from entrapment/tangled up in that barbed wire
L-foot - most of those bones broken by a pile up with a roped heifer
R-knee - scars from bicycle pile up on gravel road...speeding down steep hill and didn't see the boulder that the road grader had left behind --- that one loosened up a few teeth too
L-Hand broke 3 fingers working the team rope chute - steer horn
R-Hand busted up pretty badly - team roping event where my partners horse shied and got us all tangled up in ropes and steer
3 broken ribs in that event as well - rebroke my R-wrist and they put a pen in it
Snow Skiing - pile up busted up my L-knee and broke my L-ankle...met the cutest ski patrol/recuse dude love

Auto wrecks:
Spinal injury - 4th grade; mother hit a parked car and I was pinned behind the back of the front seat and the back of the station wagon seat slid forward trapping me with my neck squished --- we were hauling heavy lumber for dad's barn project! No one called for an ambulance - things weren't done that way back in the early 60's.

Surgeries:
Emergency Appendectomy 1972 - college
Complete Hysterectomy 1981 - my son was 5 - Endometrial cancer - had 2 series of chemo treatment and I've been cancer free since then. Just unable to have any more children!
********************
Joining the WWE was most defiantly out of my future for career placement---noway just joking but that movie scene from Jaw's where those ole drunks were down below comparing their battle scars; my group of college team ropers we used to do that too; now we just FB each other and B&M about our joint pain!

The scars are kind of faded and not really noticeable, but the story is a doosey. When i was 6 years old, I was playing hide and seek with my older brother and neighbor boy. Mind you, I was playing hide & seek, and THEY were playing nerf basketball in the other room. ohwell
I slid between a table and the wall, where the coffee pot was plugged in and sat down, spilling the HOT coffee out of said pot onto my stomach and legs sad sad
I remember running thru the house and past the boys to babysitter and her putting me into bathtub with cool water. Also remember the ambulance...it was LOUD, LOL...and the hospital room where I stayed for a day. I don't remember the pain, but I DO remember the smell of burnt flesh...that smell haunts me to this day. surprised
So, now that I think about it....I have 2 scars from that, emotional AND physical.

Well, yeah, I have. One in particular. I was just annoyed, that my therapist was almost shouting at me. No therapist should be doing that. They're meant to listen and reassure. I felt like telling her, that it seems pointless, if she's going to get angry. I was surprised she did. I wish I could find a reason to justify her getting so worked up.

I know a few agoraphobic, who really can't step outside, as some bad memory, triggers them to stay in their home at all times. It's like they have an alarm inside their mind, warning them, that something bad will happen, if they ever go outside again. They only feel safe walking about with others. These PTSD illnesses are one of the hardest to recover from. Or they might as well be diagnosed as having PTSD. Antidepressants and therapy, are not so much a miracle cure. It depends on how your brain is wired. It's sort of irritating how trauma victims feel patronised, by mental health workers. Not sure anyone knows the answer to finding the quickest form of recovery. If whatever was supposed to work, it really would work, and there'd be no more on-going symptoms.

I was about 14...I was showing off my figure skating prowess ... I guess a 'friend' got a little jealous and kicked me in the shin with her skate pick... still got the scar.

Geezzz friendly woman ... how many flights of stairs did you have to go down to find this topic in the dungeons of Mingle?
Did you take a flashlight, must be pretty scary down there, haha. Lord knows who - or what- is lurking in the dark there! noway
