BUTLER COUNTY -- While many disagree with the controversial statements made by Donald Trump on illegal immigration.

The Sheriff of Butler County is standing behind Trump.

Sheriff Richard Jones says since he was elected sheriff in 2005, he has stressed the borders be closed.

And Jones says Trump "hit the nail on the head."

"I doubt that there's any doctors riding on top of the trains or sneaking across the border. I support legal immigration. Come across here legally, there's plenty for all of us, don't sneak across," Jones said.

Jones said he's glad Trump brought up the matter because he says it's a much needed discussion in our nation.

http://www.abc22now.com/news/top-stories/stories/Sheriff-Agrees-With-Trump-Statements-on-Immigration-161051.shtml

Donald Trump is being harassed in the press for having the audacity to merely point out the obvious: that illegal immigration poses a significant threat to the safety of our nation’s citizens. As Trump weathers the bad press, Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu if Trump was right.

Sean Hannity: How accurate was Donald Trump? How accurate was he that this is a huge problem in terms of crime, etc.? Is he right or is he wrong?

Sheriff Paul Babeu: It’s a huge problem. He’s tapping into the anger that I and every American should feel. He’s going a little bit broader with a brush when he characterizes… It’s these criminal illegals, 30,000 last year that were released. And the numbers you quoted earlier, the murderers and the rapists. Who can justify the fact that they remain in our country? What do we think they’re going to do?

The left tries to frame this discussion as being “pro-Latino” and “anti-Latino.” In reality, it’s those who are opposed to crime versus those who support it. Not every illegal immigrant is a cold blooded killer, but each and every illegal is, in fact, a criminal as they flagrantly disobey our nation’s laws by coming here.

Also Sheriff Joe has agreed with Trump and is endorsing his campaign and hosting Trump later today in Maricopa County. Been a busy couple days for Trump getting endorsed by Megastar and former Mayor Clint Eastwood and now America's Toughest Lawman Sheriff Joe Arpio and also an emotional meeting with murder victims of illegal immigrants families plus an event in Las Vegas yesterday that had over 15,000 in attendance!

Trump knows he can't win the GOP nomination, but what he can do is force the conversation on immigration to the point where the GOP has to take a firm but fair position on the subject.

Older, more religious, and more conservative Latinos will agree with the sentiment that Trump espouses. They believe in law and order, and they see the crime in their communities, and are embarrassed by those who engage in it.

The Obama regime has decided that illegals represent their new voter base for the next 20-30 years, and will give them asylum at the first possible opportunity.

The solution is jailing those who employ illegals, not some token fine. You throw illegals out of the country and imprison those who are caught a second time. Throw up a legitimate fence at the border with rotating sniper positions. Everyone gets ONE warning shot within 500 yards of the border where it is a clear attempt to illegally cross. If you get to within 100 yards, lethal force is then justified.

When people spend 5 years in prison for hiring illegals, or being captured for being in country illegally or you are claiming the body of uncle Benny from the desert, only THEN will people start following the rules.

Look. EVERY SINGLE ILLEGAL ALIEN broke the law. No matter how nicely they mow your lawn, cook your meals, harvest your foodstuffs, or produce products in your factories, THEY ARE CRIMINALS. Stop making excuses for them.

I think can win the nomination, no matter if they want him not. They didn't realize how feed up Americans REALLY are, because NO ONE was speaking for us. They were to use to telling us.

Age & religion, class, morals, etc.. was PRE Obama. He as single handedly made EVERYTHING about race.

The Obama regime has decided that illegals represent their new voter base for the next 20-30 years, and will give them asylum at the first possible opportunity.

We know. He already has. Including releasing major drug dealers from prison & defying The Department Of Immigration in which he has NO power over. And of course his infamous 'Executive Orders ' ( like for the last 5 million !!)

Ideally yes. Rioting in the streets with claims of shooting non white children... oh yes.
We need a WALL not a fence. And our phraseology needs to change, so that Mexico is viewed as a foreign country, like every other county .And no likea neighbor.

That's right. But it was never about how WELL, it was about how CHEAP.
And the administrations agenda & PC. .. & turning it into a race issue to promote the (voting) agenda . Unfortunately.

this isnt true

there are many 'illegal aliens' who came here as children with no expectation to have the knowledge to 'consent' or willfully break anything

many who grew up here from childhood, fully participating in the society , working, going to school, and forging friendships

its not a simplistic issue at all,,,,

I agree, that those ADULTS who willfully break the law(immigration law) should be dealt with (unless they were seeking anything that resembles asylum)

I dont agree those immigrants who came here through no fault of their own, who would have been too young to make a choice,, and who have gone on to contribute and be a 'productive' part of the society should be dealt with as harshly and should have some option for legalizing their status

I also dont believe those who entered legally but allowed paperwork to expire at some point, should be dealt with as harshly either, but permitted a time frame upon which to have an extension and redo their papers,,,

So ignorance of the law is now an excuse?
"I was a kid when I inherited those 300 fully automatic assault rifles and hand grenades, so what if I'm 40 now and trying to sell them on craigslist? I didn't know then that they were illegal! I had no expectation to have the knowledge!"

many who grew up here from childhood, fully participating in the society , working, going to school, and forging friendships

And ends justify means?
We've had a few kids murder their parents in this state. They grew up here from childhood. They participated in society, worked, went to school, and had friends...let's just let them go.
Sure, they killed their parents, but what the hell, they're now productive members of society! Since they removed the stress through violent stabbings and shootings, they're great!

its not a simplistic issue at all,,,,

Sure it is. It just requires those hard decisions everyone is too scared to take responsibility for, and enforcement of laws that should have been enforced for a long time.

I dont agree those immigrants who came here through no fault of their own...should be dealt with as harshly

What do you mean by "harshly?"
Deported to their parents home country or country of origin?
What's the BS reason heart bleeders use? "We're deporting these poor poor people to countries they've never been, and away from the people they know, the life they have!"
Guess what, that's what we do to prisoners every single day.
"Here's 50 bucks, get out, have a nice life, don't break the law again."

should have some option for legalizing their status

Their parents had an option to legalize their status.
They, as adults (or even as teens), have options for legalizing their status.
There is a system in place to legalize people.
They can start it at anytime.

I also dont believe those who entered legally but allowed paperwork to expire at some point, should be dealt with as harshly either, but permitted a time frame upon which to have an extension and redo their papers,,,

Would you treat those that fully intended to stay after their paperwork to expire differently than those who didn't intend it?
How do you realistically, with limited budget and manpower, differentiate the two?
Or do you just come up with a law that equally gets rid of people with expired paperwork?

People are notified and given ample opportunity to try and get an extension and renewal.
People are notified when their visas are going to expire.
The government loooooves getting the fees generated from visas.
It's like you're saying "people should be given an extension when their drivers license expires!"
It's not like there's a SWAT team sitting outside of their house with a stopwatch counting down the time until the visa expires.

in the case of children being brought along by an adult,,? Yes,,

if a five year olds father robs a bank and she gets an allowance from it

its not the same accountability as if he robs the bank and pays money to a getaway driver

we dont hold children to the same level of ACCOUNTABILITY as we do adults,, for a reason,,,

murdering someone involves premeditation, I doubt toddlers are premeditating that their parents will involve them when they break a law,,,
so its a bad analogy

and drivers license removes the ability to LEGALLY drive, it doesnt require one to completely uproot their lives,,,, another bad analogy,,

Actually only 1st Degree Capitol Murder requires premeditation. You should know that since you were screaming about how Zimmerman should be charged with Second Degree Murder and there was no premeditation there.

I keep seeing this pic pop up here.
1st off the pic has nothing to do with the quote.
The quote is from years ago on an episode of The Apprentice, which I SEEN. Trump made that statement to a man contestant, who was NERVOUS WRECK when he realized Trump knew he had HIT on his daughter & it was recorded. The man apologized profusely. It was awkward & Trump tried to put him at ease.
However, he could of come up with a better comeback. Maybe, " Forget about it, you won't be sleeping with the fishes ".
But the man, would of peed himself.
