Sad that cops are being killed by radical groups...not all cops are bad..not all black people are good...it's shameful that anyone would post how proud they are for killing random officers...these men were working to keep a protest peaceful ...shooting cops is not going to stop if radical people keep stirring the hate pot...innocent people die and go to jail all the time...blame the courts..not the cops...but quit thinking killing cops is a good thing...prayers for these officers and their families ...may they find peace in the madness...

killing is never good,, the shooter was military and no doubt there were signs that he already had become disgruntled long before now,,

deaths leave grief and mourning,,,no one should feel any pride in that

Slain officers starting to be identified

""Brent Thompson
The first of five slain Dallas-area police officers to be identified recently got married, according to James Spiller, chief of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department.
Brent Thompson, 43, was in "great spirits from his recent marriage," Spiller told local TV station WFAA . Thompson’s bride was also a DART officer, the station reported.

Patrick Zamarripa
The second name to emerge of the five Dallas-area police officers killed Thursday night was that of Patrick Zamarripa.
Writing on Facebook from Parkland Hospital, his father, Rick Zamarripa, told how his son had been "working there the rally in downtown” and was “shot and killed by a sniper along with four other police officers.”
“At this moment I'm still at the hospital … to see him be moved to the medical examiner's office,” adding that he needed “prayers to get through this.”

Michael Krol
The third slain officer to be identified was Michael Krol, a native of Michigan who moved to Dallas in 2007 to join the city’s police department.
“We are saddened by the loss of the dedicated officers in Dallas-one of whom was a former member of this agency-and also the wounding of the other officers,” said Sheriff Beny Napoleon of Wayne County, which incorporates Detroit. “Those officers made the ultimate sacrifice and died honoring their oaths to protect and serve. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and also the Dallas Police Department.”
According to Detroit-area TV station WKBK , Krol worked for the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in the county jail system from 2003 to 2007.
Krol, 40, was a former resident of Redford Township, a suburb of Detroit, reported the
Detroit News .

Other 2 slain officers....

Michael Smith, 55. Smith's brother-in-law called him an exceptional father to two young girls. He served as an Army Ranger and went on to attend the Lamar Institute of Technology.
His brother-in-law said he recently had a talk with Smith about retirement, but said the officer was more concerned about his fellow officers and remained on the force.

Lorne Ahrens. Sources confirmed later Friday that the fourth Dallas police officer killed has been identified as Sr. Cpl. Lorne Ahrens.

No words, can express the sense of loss.

Thoughts and prayers for the officers, their families,
friends, and fellow members of the law enforcement community.

NEW YORK—When Dallas police detonated a “bomb robot” Thursday night to take down a sniper suspect, it was believed to be the first time a robot was used by law enforcement to kill a human being in the U.S.

Dallas police chief David Brown explained in a press conference that “other options would have exposed our officers to grave danger.”

The action raises ethical questions about the role of robots in warfare, or in this case, police work, especially given continuing breakthroughs in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

“I think for all of us, the first issue that comes to mind is some degree of relief,” says Michael Kalichman, director of the Center for Ethics in Science and Technology. “While it's premature to judge exactly what happened, it certainly seems likely that this ended a tragedy that could have been far worse. However, we also can't help but think about where this will go next.”

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings told reporters Friday he could foresee the device being used in similar situations across the nation in the future, but only as a last resort. “The key thing is to keep our police out of harm’s way," he says

responding to you john,, this is to me a more localized version of drones,,,,, more directed at targeting a threat with the least amount of collateral damage,,,

dtones keep military humans out of direct harm ,much the way these devices keep human police out of direct harm

not sure how I feel about it,, but I am happy that there weren't more lives lost that day

Hopefully that robot had a loudspeaker blaring The Ride of the Valkyries from Apocalypse Now and Robert Duvall shouted 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning!' right before that coward was blown all over that parking garage....

I'm not sure how I feel about it either

Something needed to be done for sure but

funny you mention drones, I'm wondering why waste 100k on that bot when they could have bought 159$ flying drones from Walmart and strap a grenade to it if this this going to be the new urban warfare way?

doubt the Drone could go where the Guy was holed up,an the Threat needed to be removed with as little loss of life as possible, since that was Dallas, not the storming of the Normandy Beaches!

Hours before the Dallas Massacre, Nation of Islam Leader Released THIS DISTURBING VIDEO

July 9, 2016 AJ Review General News 0

Hours before gunmen opened fire on police officers in downtown Dallas, killing five cops and injuring seven others, Louis Farrakhan posted a message of hatred and violence against white people on social media.

“When you are willing and not afraid anymore to pay the price for freedom — don’t let this white man tell you that violence is wrong,” Farrakhan said. “Every damn thing that he got, he got it by being violent — killing people, raping and robbing and murdering. He’s doing it as we speak, and then he has the nerve to come and tell us that violence and hatred won’t get it. Don’t buy that!”

Speaking about white people as one entity, Farrakhan proclaimed, “He is worthy to be hated.” He also claimed that “God hates,” and man is no better than God.

The shocking video was posted on Twitter at around 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Watch the video here

The shooting began about 8:45 p.m. Thursday while hundreds of people were gathered to protest the killings in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and suburban St. Paul, Minnesota.

JAIL THIS MAN RIGHT NOW!

A rare POS!

nice try , its already been determined that the attack was planned well in advance, not the same day

and where is the link for this speech in full and in context,,,?

not likely huh,, kind of like when he allegedly called for the killing of white folks,,,,,by making a statement about killing those who would kill us

,,garbage media,, rarely has sources to validate and often edit highly the full truth
