not just this one any one you happen to take a look at   now I consider myself to be fairly pleasant and try to be upbeat and once in awhile succeed at being funny but holy cow ... |

Yeah, it's weird, innit.
I think because there's a great many ppl who try to pursue a relationship way before they're ready for it, when they're still on the rebound. Others not understanding that meeting someone will take time for most and doesn't happen within a week. So they feel it takes too long and get negative. And a lot of ppl just never work through their past chit, hold on to it all, got bitter and vent that on dating sites. In general most ppl have a negative outlook on life. Just look around you, so many ppl whinging and whining about life, the universe and everything. |

I think they are that way because..they can be. Using the keyboard to vent their life's frustrations. Like anyone wants that constant draining of the soul. I wish they would try to..add something, rather than hellbent on detracting. |

Before getting married, my EX knew about all my plans to start a business, what I got from her was all negative comments, like, this business will not work, you will have too many people coming to you for help, and the list goes on. In the end she call time on what was to be a life long relationship but as she said, I think I went into this too soon. So negativity is within most of us ( men and women) just waiting to appear. |

I think at times it is due to a bad day, week and life gets one down.. Only way they know is to whine and complain... Myself someone that whines gets on my nerves faster then anything I know... I just want to tell them to suck it up and move on.. Quit blaming everything and everyone for your problems.. We all have them and deal with them as we know best... Whining will not get you anywhere but alone... If life is that bad step up and change it one thing at a time, till you enjoy your life... One has to learn to be happy with themselves first.... Regardless how much money they have or where they live.. |

Soufi, you hit the nail on the head again...we all recycle favorite feelings... some people develop a slush fund of negativity because they stuff there feelings in the moment and then it comes out on line as ''displaced anger''....us men are taught as children to stuff our feelings more so than women in most cases.....around women if men did express there feelings we know we would be looked at as unstable by the ladies....it would be really great if men and women could share there true feelings in the moment all time.........  .... |

It's pretty common everywhere.
Part of it is just that the people who are enjoying themselves, are out doing so, not sitting in front of a keyboard. Part of it too, I started to notice when I was a little child: it becomes a sort of fad to complain. It gets to be "in," to have problems. Look at the dynamics of the race and gender "wars": as soon as one group gains sympathy from some true tale of woe, some of the other sides people get jealous of that sympathy, and start either agitating for sympathy of their own, or start howling that the one who started the complaint is faking it somehow. Just as happened when we were little kids. |

how sad huh.. that some people just aren't happy unless they're making others miserable..
personally I try avoiding people like that online and in life.. one thing I discovered is that negativity breeds negativity.. but being positive typically attracts positive people! there are some that TRY to bring us down to their level of grumpiness with their constant complaining about EVERY little thing.. *sighs* I smile and walk away shaking my head.. feeling sorry for'em mostly.. but I refuse to allow that kind of waste of emotions any leverage.. life is exhausting enough! I am human though.. I have my bad days too that I could complain about.. I just tend to refrain from dumping that on others and keep it to myself.. after all.. we ALL have our problems in life, some more than others
