We all have those loose ends we need to tie up? (Did that sound dirty the way I said it?blushing )

Anyways I digress.

Do you have a list of people that you have unfinished business with?

It doesnt have to be a romantic relationship. It could be with family , friends and acquaintances.

Someone you still want to say thanks to or apologise to or reprimand or maybe just reconnect with after falling out of touch?

I've been single about 5 years. Anything that might have been unfinished back then, has resolved itself. I either have relationships that end amicably or otherwise. Those that have amicable conclusion often still keep in touch to varying degrees. Those that ended badly know they'll get no joy from trying to contact me and I've not interest in hearing from them ever again. No unfinished business here, just new possibilities.

I should have been more general funky. I wasnt thinking about romantic relationships specifically.

For example, it could be a teacher or a neighbor you want to say thanks to for the overall contribution they made to your life

Hummm as far as relationships none made sure I had my say at the end of each relationship....

I guess the ones that never had a chance to say thank you, love you ect or other things that needed to be said are no longer here...... :

I would love to connect with a gf I had in middle school/high school. I moved away when I was 16 when I came back did not know how to find her...whoa

Other then that I do try to tell others thank you for helping me ect.... Matter of fact just sent a e-mail to a lady from work for all the times she has helped letting me know when the company she works for will pay ect...

I'm known to be one that voices her opinion often lmao~~~laugh laugh

By the way Peggy good job on threads~~~~ it is nice to have the kind that makes you think and no arguing~~~ flowerforyou What is wild I had clicked on your profile this morning and was going to tell you that. But then figured it would not be long before you made another post and I could tell you there.. Went to look and of all subjects this is the one you created~~biggrin

Trying to resolve past mistakes and hurts seems to me to be a waste of time unless you're going through some sort of 12 step program.

Forgiveness is about yourself. If someone has wronged you then forgiving is part of the process that allows you to move on. If you've wronged someone and they decide to forgive you then it is good to allow them the opportunity to move on.

None.

I tied up all my loose ends when I was contemplating suicide years ago.

Now, I don't let things like that go.

I know my children love me, without a doubt.
My children know I love them, without a doubt.

I owe no credit debts
My bills are all paid
I don't borrow from others
I don't make promises I can't keep
I don't ask for favors
I let others be themselves and learn their own lessons
If I give advice I understand it may not be taken

Life is pretty simple for me and I like it that way.

I suggest that if you do have loose ends, take care of them asap because you never know what will happen and those you love could be gone in a heartbeat.

I'm not going to suggest ending your credit because most people must have what they want but being debt free is a major life improvement.

I agree with water loo here.

However there is 1 issue I will have to deal with some day.
Not looking forward to it. But that day will come. I will
deal with it. Because, I don't want any unfinished before
my time. Until then it's gonna sit there for now.

Good question though

There's a couple of ex boss's from a former work place I'd like to "finish some business" with. But unless they get run over by a bus and I get to pee on their graves I guess that business will remain unfinished.

You have a point there waterloosunset. Ultimately forgiveness lies within us whether you tell a person to their face or not .

But bear with me a little as I share a personal experience with you.

Many years ago, one if my exes and I hsd a bad disagreement. I kinda felt he demonised me after that and it hurt me.

We parted ways but would still greet each other if our paths crossed.

I paid no mind to it . I just let it be.

One day, my ex called me out of the blue and apologised for demonising me. . I no longer loved him but I couldnt stop crying. I didnt even realise how much his negative feelings had impacted me. I felt set free that day and I didnt even realise that I was bound.

My point is that telling someone you forgive them or saying you are sorry sometimes releases someone from a burden that they didnt even know they were carrying

I have a few that I could probably do some damage to for hurting people who didn't have it coming but the longer I live the more I see Karma catch them and do much more severe punishments than I could inflict.

Are their people I would like to apologize to that I haven't yea a few. Sometimes you don't get the chance PR they want hear it.

A friend of mine who seems to be psychic told me i have unresolved business that still impacts me today.
I wasn't sure i wanted to delve further into that topic.
I suppose my unresolved business would be to seek answers.
Then i wonder if i had the answers would thst change who i am?

And I am sure I should Thank a few more. When I was younger I missed a chance to thank someone significant and it made a big impression on me so I tend to say it a lot. It is just nice . Feels good. And because I know how rare they often are they mean a lot.
