I always thought Starbucks was overrated and overpriced.
Now I have one more, even better reason not to ever go there.
Not to mention I do not drink coffee.

Haha Brian, you beat me to it!!! My friend has gotten me into checking if things that get sent to me on the internet are true before I send them on. So, I, too went to Snopes and found out it was false. Sorry guys, we will have to direct our anger elsewhere this time.

I don't know that this is true. I support the troops even if a dufus of a pres sent them to the wrong place for the wrong reasons.

I don't drink coffee at all, so I have no ox to be gored in this race.

Whether the story is true or not, I do think the mentality of "a company did something I don't like, and that makes them BAD," is reflective of a mindset that is far too self-absorbed and has its own agenda.

And invoking the memory of fallen soldiers, in this context (will Starbucks coffee bring them back from the dead?), is hyperbolic and completely inappropriate.

Truth be told as a former soldier Starbucks has a contract with the Army at least in Georgia. I worked in the hospital there and Starbucks used to bring us coffee everyday. Graet way to start a day when there was a Starbucks Right outside the Trama center.

You know....Starbucks doesnt have to support the war....even though these guys like their coffee........GW Bush, if he cared anything for the men who are dying over there should at least buy them whatever they want......coffee or food. I mean your taxes obviously arent being paid for your medical or school systems.....you have to wonder what they are paying for over there....grumble indifferent
