Being homeless isn't always an effect of poor choices...
I know people who were months away from retiring from their job and lost their job (i.e. QWEST...thanks to company outsourcing) after 20-30 years of service. I personally have lost almost every material possession due to illness. In 2004, I was looking at buying a house, had 2 jobs a checking acct, FAT savings acct, and credit cards WITHOUT A BALANCE...and it happened to me where I lost it all when I became disabled. It was no choice of mine and it took many many years to get back on my feet. I now have bought a house in 2009, and rebuilding savings. I am proud of what I have but wont forget when I had nothing...and that kind of experience reminds you to appreciate what you have when you have it....but knowing also that you can survive without it. |

I love my bathroom...three big mirrors and a perfect vanity lights...the lighting is better in there than anywhere else in the house.

Wow! Looks wonderful! But if the drawings that I saw in your profile before were yours, I'm not surprised. You have talent, for sure. Hope to see more. :) I've never been comfortable using oil on paper or canvas, I always thought it was one of the most difficult to use, so I really admire the "cleanness" of your work. Oil is trickier, I hated using oils when I was younger. Now its been about 10 years since i made the switch and I really like oils more so then watercolor and acrylic. Try using alkyds. They dry as fast as acrylic but still have the shine and texture of oils. |

Thanks this is the first oil painting I did that I tried monochromatic. I really focused on textures since I didn't have a full color palette. By far its my favorite so I didn't have the heart to sell it!

I didn't do this but it is funny... A real dink head was harassing me at work and made me cry...so my buddy took a smoke break and dumped an entire bottle of "doe in heat" pee in his unlocked car...the kicker was at lunch we were all sitting around the table eating lunch (jerk included) when my buddy started singing "doe a deer a female deer...ray a drop of golden sun!"  Cornier than Kansas Chica!  (in Cheech Marin singing voice) Doe..I need...to get my weed from Ray...the dealer up the street Mi...the dude, who's getting stoned Fa...Q if you don't pich in So...get it together Bro La...la la la later Dude Ti...you when you get jour funds Wheeech brings mi back to doe Nice!

Is Time Relative?

I was thinking... You know the saying, "Time flies when you're having fun," and how "time drags," when you are just waiting for the clock to tick for the end of the day? There are also times you are working and time just is moving much faster than you thought it would and you can't complete your tasks. If time itself fluctuates and not just our perception, doesn't that mean that Einstein's theory of relativity is incomplete? E=MC2. Since time is multiplied 4 times in this equation, a minor fluctuation in the flow of time would have a significant impact on the results especially when approaching the speed of light. If this is correct, wouldn't that mean that faster than light travel is not only possible but inevitable? The problem is in measuring the flow of time. You would have to be able to step out of time to observe the flow of time. You can't measure a foot by taking a ruler and saying that is a foot. You need a standard to tell what the foot is equal to. After the standard is set, then you can take that ruler to measure other things. You can't measure time using time to measure it. So, how do we know time is constant? To quote Einstein himself: "When you sit with a nice girl for two hours, you think it's only a minute. But when you sit on a hot stove for a minute, you think it's two hours. That's relativity." Time is constant...whether we measure it in bliss & happiness, or tears & sorrow. |
