To me the bottom line is, Zimmerman was doing something for his community or at least trying to. Trevon Martin? Who knows what he was doing. That still hasn't been figured out. Although there is some here that think they know everything and have all of the answers. That just shows how less credible they are and their arguments are motivated by hate and anger. It's sad to see reason blinded by their know it all attitude.
Zimmerman was acting in "Good Cause" yeah, the cause was making sure the ahole (because he must be a crook walking around at night from a store and gazing at homes) didnt get away and he succeeded,,,,, A public service killing. Zimmerman should get a medal. The prosecutors being to ambitious that's why Casey Anthony got off. I think the biggest flaw in the Casey ANthony case was not having a cause of death not a problem here,,,, No, the problem is the prosecutor charged her with the wrong charge the jury thought was to harsh, just like this case where someone isn't charged at all. yeah, a murder charge with no proof a murder occurred is a strike out. A murder charge where death is known and the killer is also known, is not nearly as much of a strike out. |

I have no pity for gang bangers of any age. well, many dont have pity for domestic abusers either but that would have little to do with whether a crime was committed THAT NIGHT or what the crime was he had no way to know someones gang status, neither did the boy, so thats not a defense or a justification unless there is some past on the boys part of randomly ASSAULTING someone else,,,,, Killing a gang banger is no crime as far as I'm concerned, it should every ones duty! still is not what the law says,,,, anymore than killing a rapist or a domestic abuser,,, and only makes one a gang banger banger,,or not much better than what they claim to despise,,, NOPE! they could have this trip without the presidency , MEXICO is an extremely cheap trip,,, the protection is not something I can disapprove of as a parent myself, 13 year old girls who are the 'presidents' children are highly susceptible in a place like Mexico,,,even everyday citizens have been kidnapped and killed traveling there maybe you should define "cheap"... well we took a one week CRUISE all along the coast for about 750 for two people thats pretty cheap they bring in more CASH income on their own than the presidents salary,,,, since they have to live at the white house and live their lives from there,, the cost of protection and what goes with it is unavoidable,,, The average cost of one hour of flying time of presidential aircraft is $60,000 dollars per plane. Security and accompanying staff is over twice that per day. There is also the expense of the local gov't visited for protections, losses of revenue and facilitation that must be paid. This spring break for his daughter I think I read was around $4 Million dollars plus.....IT WAS NO $750 CRUISE LINE TRIP! what presidents children would be able to travel with the same anonymity and peace that me and my family did? the costs for travel and protection are factors of the position that has long existed before this administration |

Because the American schooling system kills any incentive in students to apply creative analytical skills for themselves. Because the Hollywood movies always have two elements, and two elements only: the good guys, and the bad guys. There are no subtleties there. The good guys are always identified as the good American, and the bad guys, as the bad foreigner. Or the evil person. The movies are created so that the identifying by the viewer is always with the righteous. In tv, same thing. One-hundredth of the news reporting is of anything newsworthy in the sense that would make Americans open their eyes to see the truth. Mainly it's about murder, rape, winnigns, hollywood celebrities
as a mother and potential teacher,, I witness this everyday in ages from grade school to married with children it scares me sometimes even,,how much LOGIC has started to disappear,,,, |

I love MsH's presence in the forums....we rarely agree on much, but her posts make you have to search for definative answers....from both sides! Friendly combatants.... best term. She can make mass murder look like spring cleaning, but the challenge keeps you honest! We know she is biased (and not just slightly) towards O, but unlike some here, she will admit to flaws in thinking if shown good cause. As I said, we rarely agree, and she makes Godzilla look like a puppy, but good needs evil, and every coin has 2 opposing sides. Accept the challenge Moe, expect the obvious, and have fun on the ride. Love ya H  , respect and appreciate ya moe !

Extended School Suspension There has been a lot of analysis about the character of George Zimmerman in the media, and surprisingly little about Trayvon Martin. For instance, a few days before he was killed, Trayvon was suspended from school for ten days. Still, Trayvon had nonviolent behavioral issues in school, and on the day he was killed, he had been suspended for 10 days from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in North Miami-Dade. “He was not suspended for something dealing with violence or anything like that. It wasn’t a crime he committed, but he was in an unauthorized area [on school property],” Martin said, declining to offer more details. Before that, Trayvon attended Miami Carol City High School near his mother’s home in Miami Gardens. There has been very little follow-up in investigating exactly why Trayvon was suspended for such a long period of time for what seems to be the relatively minor offense of “being in an unauthorized area.” In most schools, something like that would be a detention, or one-day, in school suspension at most. Not ten days. Of course, this is why Trayvon was staying as his Father’s house, so far away from school. Unfortunately, it seems as if most people who knew him are intent on cleaning up his image, rather than discussing what Trayvon was really like. Even though Trayvon was only 17, he already was sporting gold teeth, and several large tattoos. This one was on his wrist, apparently of his girlfriend’s mother’s name.
