I have little vanities, but not so much in the makeup/hair/etc. dept. I can "clean up" so to speak, and am told I do so nicely, but it's just not me. Makeup makes my face itch and feel odd, lol, and there is NOTHING attractive about fidgeting and digging at my face ;)

I wanted to be a vet when I was little. Then my uncle arranged for me to take a tour of the local college's veterinary school. When I saw the freezer full of dissection specimens, I was DONE with that idea.
Other than that, while my life may not be exactly how I had pictured it, I am very content. I have great people in my life, a job that I love, and very few regrets. |

I've always had a weakness for dark hair/light eyes combo, but I've been attracted to all different combos. Boils down to the personality behind the eyes :)

ETA: LadyWolf, that's close to my divorce too. Down to the money stuff. We still don't talk about that. Keeps things peaceful.  Exactly, lol. In order to keep things peaceful for the kiddo, I walked away from all of it. He was the one who wanted all that "stuff" anyway, not me. So, I took only what I brought into the marriage & just bought new necessities. Amazing how easy going the rest of it became :) |

I usually tell people that his issues and my issues didn't coexist well. We tried 2 years of marriage counseling, and when that didn't work, we elected to go our separate ways. The divorce was fairly amicable (once the money issues were worked out, lol) and I get along well with both him and his current wife.

I don't like to hurt people's feelings either, unless they force me to. I usually say something like "I really appreciate the compliment you've given me. The thing is, I know we're not a good match in that area, and a relationship between us would end up hurting one or both of us in the end".
Sometimes I get lucky and, after they get over any embarrassment they might suffer, we're able to continue on as friends. |

thats a way good idea... youre pretty smurt. Thank you :) I have my moments, lol why are you mulching flowerbeds at night? I'm a wuss - I HATE the heat. Grew up near canada and have not yet adjusted to the higher temps/humidity here in Indiana. Twilight/early evening is my preferred time to do anything that involves outdoor labor :) |

I live in a state where it's legal to carry concealed if you have a permit, so it happens a lot. It doesn't bother me, but I grew up as the daughter of a cop so am used to people toting guns.

I'd prefer that they are interested when I'm not at my best :) That way, I know they won't run shrieking into the night the first time they show up unexpectedly and I'm bedraggled and sweaty after mulching the flower beds, lol.
