This got me thinking about a boy that went to school with my daughter
that went home and murdered his mother, father, and two younger brothers.
I looked up the house and apparently they tore it down and just sold
the land. Still don’t think I could build a house and live there though.

When my marriage ended I choose rebound dating. It was great therapy
for me, I was upfront about it and nobody got hurt. I knew when I was
ready for something more.

If I have a choice between direct or wishy washy sugar coated, I’d take direct.
It’s all a preference of how you like to receive information. I do, however, see
a distinguishment between direct and rude. Rude just let’s me know the type
of person I’m dealing with and I move on.

You don’t really hunt baby seals, do you?

Ozymandias... a fan of the poem or Breaking Bad, or both?

There's a half moon tonight.
It looks like half of a disc.
It has occurred to me this doesn't make sense.

NASA image

On crescent moons you can see the occlusion which makes the moon crescent shaped.
This occurs on all phases of crescent.
But on half moons, you can't see the shape of the earth, its just cut in half.

On partial crescents, sometimes the shadow is opposite of an occlusion.

Starting at the top left image as 1, there are 23 images. New Moon makes up the 24th image.

Image 1 depicts a distinct crescent showing an occlusion of a round Earth.
This holds true till image 6 at image 9 thru 11 the occlusion reverses showing a concave Earth.

This doesn't make sense?
Images 1 - 11 should have the same crescent orientation.

If anything, the moon should appear like sliced circles and should not have crescent shapes at all because of the Earth/moon size ratio and proximity.

So .....you're saying the universe is wrong?

Nah, just perplexed about what I see and what makes sense.

Shine a light thru a circular matte and you get a lit circle.
Slowly move a ball across the matte and you get a crescent in the same direction until you have full occlusion, then the crescent switches to the other direction as the ball moves along its track.

The Earth is round. It has a round occlusion on a bright moon from its round shadow. The crescent occlusion should remain the same direction all the way across the moon. It doesn't, it inverts? It makes no sense yet we see it all the time. NASA even photographed it.

Maybe there is a scientific explanation but I have no idea what it could be?

Its like rain.
What keeps all that water in clouds before it rains?
The water is obviously there, in the cloud before it rains. What force acts against gravity to keep the water in the air? Y'all might not be pay'in attention but there are thousands of gallons of water which fall during a rain storm. Water is heavy ('bout 8 lbs per gallon), how does all that water stay in the clouds till it rains.
Makes no sense.

The moon phases are not caused by Earth’s shadow, we are seeing the light side from the
sun hitting it vs. the dark side as we rotate around in space :)

I just read an update that said “unsurvivable storm surge”, I’ve never
heard anything like that. I hope everyone has evacuated, so scary.

Cliff notes: People lie about their age.

It’s just one thing people aren’t always honest about. If you have any
intentions of actually meeting someone, I agree, honestly is the best policy.

You don’t deserve to be treated like trash, no one does. But, if you want
to date and have sex with someone, you might want to get a car.

A CAR? I've got cars! flowers

blushing Sorry,I couldn't resist.............

Plural cars may lead to plural dates, with no apologies needed :) waving flowerforyou

I don’t trust anyone in politics. They’re like used car salesman, they’ll tell you
anything just to get the sale. I’m not a party follower, I vote for issues that matter
to me, which generally means I vote for the least worst candidate.

If you are silent, people have no idea and will jump to their own conclusions.
They tend to think you have something to hide. Right or wrong, it is what it is.

I like the color theory, it adds the layers that great sex has. Having a partner
on an equal sexual ability level is certainly important to me. To answer the
question though seems on the scale of how many partners have you had, a
little too much information for a general audience. :)

There is a reason age is represented by a number, it’s to give people
an indication when something may be a ridiculous idea.

They had him in the police car...

They took him out because he was complaining of sickness.

They called for the paramedics and were waiting for them to arrive.

You don't cuff a man behind his back when he's on the ground having medical issues.

Just because someone has a restraining maneuver on doesn't mean that they are applying every bit of leverage they can.

But if you had ever served a moment in any capacity in a law enforcement nature, you would already know that.

If you ever had to restrain a violent individual, you would also understand that.

Thanks for sharing all that practical advice you learned from the talking heads on CNN.

He was cuffed behind his back the entire time on the ground. There is
nothing in the video that indicates he was resisting or violent.

This is a senseless death. As are all the others that have been brought
up here, including officers who have been killed. I find them all wrong.
I do not find one death more significant than another and I do expect
those responsible to be held accountable.
