well the law here is from 15 to 20 can have relations as long as the parents approve. yea and she was stupid i will not dispute that and they dated for 3 years. i just never have aggreed with abortions, i have a 2 year old and i got pregnat in a very difficult situation, my sons father is in prison for a really long time but i couldnt kill my baby. i just want to be there for her because shes my sister and i love her wether i aggree with it or not In NY i beleive it's 18! If you are over 18 and you are with someone under the age of 18 it's stagitory rape in the laws eyes! |

18 and a punk if you ask me, he treated her like **** and when she found out she was the first thing he said was ABORTION I guess my first question would be what was an 18 year old doing being with a 15 year old? And Vice Versa! Don't ya know that 15 will get you 20? Not sure what the law is on that in your state! |

all i was asking for was an opinion and i got bunches. there were circumstances that her choice was based on and she knows she did the right thing she just now is wondering things she shouldnt be. the father was a low life and told her he wouldnt approve of adoption and would fight for custody, which wasent a good thing. and she got scared and thought at the time she was doing the right thing. she regrets it now and knows she now needs to really protect herself. she is going to a couselor she just wanted some advice from me and i had no idea what to tell her thanks for all your help but this discussion is over. is there anyway i can delete this So i am going to keep this going a little bit longer by commenting on one thing that was said...... Where is the fathers rights in all of this Abortion crap and adoption crap? I have a 11 year old Neice out there somewhere because her mother gave her up for adoption when she was born. It takes two to make a baby i think it should take to to make the decision on abortion and adoption. And for those who don't know the "Baby's Daddy" well they should have to prove who the father is before an Adoption can take place. When we found out that my brothers Girlfriend was pregnant and that she didn't think that she could take care of th baby my mom the Grandmother of the baby was willing to raise the child until she thought that she could take care of her. We were pregnant at the same time and we were the same age and i did it with the support of my family which is what my family was willing to give her..... just another thing i just don't get! |

This has been bothering me, so I need some opinions... Since my divorce I've dated about six or seven women (I was divorced last December, 2006). I always start these relationships with good intentions. The problem is that almost immediatley after I have sex with a woman, I lose interest in them, to the point that I don't want to speak to them. I am never a **** about breaking it off, in fact, I've stayed friends with several of them. I just don't understand it. Regardless of whether the sex is incredible, or mediocre, the results are the same. A friend of mine said that I'm addicted to the chase, and when the chase is over (usually no more than two or three dates), it's on to the next conquest. I think I'm just not meeting a woman who is "sweeping me off my feet". Do any of you experience this? Is it a phase of divorce (I'm still A LITTLE hung up on my wife, mostly jealousy)? I am not an ass hole, and not proud of these CONQUESTS, as many people would put it. Opinions? I have been seperated from my ex since May of 2007. Like you I have had several relationships. I was with him for 12 years married for 8 of them. I just think its because i'm not ready to settle down again and want to "see what is out there" |

Humans are not animals...if you want to be a parent that badly it shouldnt matter what age they are. Now that is something that is disgusting to me. All of the children in this world that need homes, and because they are not cute little babies, their lives are not worth as much? Kudos. But the real fact of the matter is; too many want a baby, a small child to raise. Not a grown child or teenager. Stastistics show that many children yet to be adopted are indeed older and teen age. It isn't a matter of being bad because they want a young child. It is merely that they want to do the raising. Kat If i was more stable and had a big enough house i would adopt/ foster the older ones and the ones that have several kids from the same familie. I know that it is harder to place older ones and families of childeren so i would strictly foster/ adopt older ones and several kids from the same familie! |

I know could be extremely isolated cases, where abortion could be "recommended", when the mother´s life is in "risk", but extremely risk. Nonetheless, what happens with people that think abortion is so normal like brush your teeth after each food!!!!!, it is a life!. These people know what abortion is before hand, but continue several times,.... I totally agree not just once but twice, three times and so on.... didn't they realize after the first time what causes it and how to prevent it! |

So i was 15 when i got pregnant and 16 when i had my son. By the age of 21 i had 3 kids already. Now being 27 i have 4 (all by the same father and we were together for 12 years married for 8). If i have learned anything from this it has tought me one thing. I have 2 girls and 2 Boy's. I will be starting the "SEX" talk very early on as it is happening earlier and earlier. The girls will be put on birth control if i feel that they are being sexually active and i will supply my boy's with condoms. Same may argue that this is wroung but i want my kids to go to college and have a career before they have a family. I would not give my kids back for anything just wish i would of done things differently and in a different order. I seemed to have done things backwords.

I have a sister that was born with alot of medical problems. She was told from the begining that she would probably never be able to conceive. Right around June of 2005 she was going through a bunch of testing to be put on a double lung and liver transplant. Shortly after she started the testing she found out that she was 9 weeks pregnant. All of her doctors and specialist told her to abort the baby. My sister is another non beleiver in abortion. So because there were no signs of anything being wroung with the baby nor any life or death with her health at that present moment she told the doctors no way would she abort the baby! Lets just say that Brady is now two years old is a very healty baby ( even though he was 7 weeks early) My sister is also a year post op double lung and liver transplant and is doing awesome!

The first words out of my mouth was "keep it". It was my fault for not using protection not my sons. He had every right to have a living chance. I know of a girl from school that had like 3 or 4 abortions in high school. That just makes me totally sick! That is why they invented birth control! good for you.  you were 15, but you were still responsible, thats brilliant. if you read my post above, you will see my opinion on women having 3 or more abortions.
I read that i think that is wroung! Who pay's for the first three? Men and woman that can't have kids? |

i was just about to say barbie if your mature enough to have sex, then you should be mature enough about the consequences, especially if you dont use a contraceptive. HELLO PEOPLE! Well my oppinion on abortion is this. If you were big enough to lay down and play you should be big enough to suffer the consiquences unless.......... a) something is roung with the pregnancy that could hurt mom or the baby b) the pregnancie was caused by a rape! There are plenty of men and woman out there that would love to have kids that can't and would be more than happy to give love and caring to a baby that someone else can't. Just a thought.... isn't condoms or birth control cheaper than an abortion?
