13" widescreen, minimum specs with a student discount (I'm taking classes toward an MBA).... standard price was $899, $100 off for a student... it's the pro's that are expensive, 17" pro with good specs is closer to 3k... $.02  Thats the one I was looking at...awesome machine eh  oh yes, beautiful to look at, interesting, classy... and the macbook is not bad either! $.02 ...  ... *thud* ...

I guess Im spoiled. Right now my L/T is 17' high def wide screen. The smallest Macbook is almost $3,000. Thats why I liked the I-pad so much its all screen. I cant wait to get to Canada and jump into all the big box stores I love catching up on techie stuff when Im there.( Im such a geek) Im just po'ed about having to invest in another L/T when this one is only about a yr. old! But I truly hate Vista and want to get away from it.  all these women talking tech, it's really working for me!... p.s. I purchased my macbook (not pro) for $799.00USD $.02 ...  ... I so feel the same when you men talk tech so over my head *swoon* ...  That's a GREAT price ... Was that some kinda sale I've not heard of??? What are the specs ... ... *she asks, as if she really understands the answer* ...  *cough* Well, I sorta do ...

Mine was always runnin', my brother w/ the F150 always needed a lift ... My dad still has his '78 Ford pickup that he's had since brand new, and he and my mom still use it to pull their 5th wheel. Yeah, yeah ... ... Just baitin' the dead forum waters ... Yanno, I just dropped this here for controversy ... NEVER fails to stir the pot ...  The lucky ones are the Ram owners, that just get to watch us bicker, and laugh at us uproariously on the sidelines! ... Truth??? I really do think it is all how they felt the day they build it at the plant ... HOPE for a great day ... I must have gotten lucky twice, now, my '99 JEEP is STILL a dream at 11 years of age ...

Venus - Can ya afford the full laptop in Apple???
Then ya could load in the Windows purchase option and play all the games as well... THAT is exactly what I'd do, had I the spare dosh! Also, I paid $100 for an endless, unlimited Apple in store and online tutorial for a year - when I bought my iMac ... Ya can activate it anytime later, no expiration date ... GREAT win for those converting from pcs and/or not too technically swooft ... *Kate raises hands on both counts* I'm getting to know my questions first ... Then I'll activate it ... Aries ... Have heard that argument ... But my experience w/ Apples AT PRESENT ... Puts Windows to shame ... ESP for those of us who don't know how to swim tech upstream ... For now ... There really is virtually zero attack against Macs ... Tomorrow is not here ... I'm surfin' this wave NOW! If the world converts to Mac en masse ... Well ... Cross that bridge THEN ... Thanx, though, I do appreciate those thoughts/reminders for others ... |

Well ... Maybe wind down slow instead of cold turkey???
That way ya don't sabotage your self w/ caffeine headaches, etc ... My ethos in the clinic: "If you're gonna take the poison, take the antidote" ... So ... Often if ya just insist 2 glasses of water for every energy drink ... The math works ... AND ... Ya bless it and still wean off ... Just a thought, GL, whatever ... Don't self destruct ...
