Good luck and be thorough in your search. Lots of places to look and be sure to keep your notes. A few family members and I traced our paternal lineage a while back. It took us over nine years to get it all down but we did it. Then it scared the crap out of us all!!! Mixed feelings to know that you are descended from a bloodthirsty prince from Romania.  Dracula?????

Thanks to all who have responded. My late great aunt traced her mothers side back to 1440 to England. I am doing my fathers side. There have been tons of stories (all of which I have writen down).
I am going to Ohio to see if I am related to a LTC Sempitus L. Brewer of GA. My great and great great grandfather resided in OH so I start there. If I find out that my ggreat grandfather was married to a Georgia Cody from GA then I hit the jack pot *S* If not, then I have the fun of tracing a new limb *S* |

I will be traveling with my 13 yr old son to Ohio/Georgia/Texas then back home when school is out in June. We are going to be looking up our past. I have been looking forward to this for 3 years.
