Toks88, Your posts are truly edifying. Preach on bro! The Bible is indeed the revelation of God to man and the Christian's charter. The words in there are (some people may not understand if I use the word "is") spirit and life. To GOD be the Glory! 1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. No one should fear God, he's cool if you are. Numerous verses of scripture (Bible) command us to fear God. A few are quoted below: Deuteronomy 6:24 The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. Psalm 2:11 Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Malachi 1:14 "For I am a great king," says the Lord Almighty, "and my name is to be feared among the nations." Luke 12:4-5 "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Revelation 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language and people. Jesusmyall, It is wise to search the Scriptures just like you did for a clearer understanding of the Word. We ought to fear the LORD (simply to flee from all evil) because His judgment is impartial. We don't fear the LORD because He will or might kill us if He gets angry at our bad behavior. No! We fear Him because of His kind of GOD. "For there is no respect of persons with God." (Romans 2:11 KJV). GOD hates sin and everyone that'd come in contact with Him as his or her God must have His nature (must hate sin). The fear of God is simply to flee from sin, evil and pursue righteousness and holiness in Christ Jesus. May the LORD help us with the Spirit of understanding and full knowledge of HIM! Amen!!! |

When I hear or read the Word Of God, I make an adjustment (I strive daily to be a doer of the Word and not only hearing and reading yet not ready to accept the rebuke from the Holy Ghost). The truth of God isn't appealing to everybody and that doesn't reduce God from whom He is.
I observed that when the truth is been revealed, someone must come to contradict it. They always claim to be ministers of God but they turn the Word Of God into a lie to suit their evil intentions. The Bible says that they holds the truth in unrighteousness. The Wrath Of God is been revealed from heaven against such people of ungodly act whether they are inside or outside Christendom. (Romans 1:18-32). |
