Mike, hun, Snopes is soooooo not a reliable place for info about stuff like that...matter of fact, last year when I did a speech on Urban Legends, Snopes was the first place I looked...

Really, I've always heard that Snopes and FactFinder were the best places to find unbiased facts.

ctfinder and
no Winx, I'm afraid you have heard wrong luff. Snopes Wikipedia are the worst places to find information. Just go look at the first page on Snopes.com....It even says "Rumor Has It"

Wikipedia, ANYONE can get in there and edit the information without census, so you never know if what you see is the truth on that site. If I wanted to, I could find an article about....How to make a dress and put some totally bogus patterns up there...

Do that! Report back what happens please.

Haha, sure XDD

Yeah, I heard that about Wikipedia. That's a shame.

But..with Snopes it does show the rumor at the top and tells what is true underneath the rumor.

It does usually show the true origins of the story, but most of the time the stories are so out of proportion it's not even funny. Most urban legends like that one above are based on some fact, but have been so stretched it is hardly anything like the fact.

I'm sure Canada is much too conservative for you
seriously? they have universal health care that hardly sounds "conservative" to me. If they were conservative they would let the poor die in the gutter like we do.

Madisonman, take it from someone who has tried universal health care (Called the military) It doesn't run as smoothly as everyone thinks it does. When I lived in Germany, on a military base, with military health coverage and the "universal health care" style system, it took us two months after making the initial appointment to see a doctor. Even longer just to get an ultra sound and for my tonsils to be removed. Yeah, there is health care for everyone, so to say, but the doctors work very little.

I am not saying our system is any better, because there are a lot of downfalls, but seriously...If you are going to base all of your opinions off of the movie "Sicko", just don't say anything. Weigh both systems and then come back and tell us which system is the lesser of two evils...but think of this...more often than not, on the Universal health care system, people die in the emergency room waiting for the doctors to get off of break, or because the hospital is under funded, or because the doctors decided that since they weren't getting paid fairly, they went golfing.

I would like to add that Obama is not endorsing universal health care. He's providing a way for the uninsured working middle class to obtain insurance.

thank you! I am so sick of people lableing him as a Socialist. It all comes from the negative campaigning bs from the republican party FANATICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of it too.

It matters little to me weather or not he is a fanatic, what matters to me is where he stands on the issues. I think we all have a little tendency to become fanatical about something every now and then. I'm swinging McCain cause I straight up didn't like how Obama preformed in the Presidential debates, and it made me question him more so than McCain. Yeah, McCain didn't preform well either, but I noticed he answered questions more straight than Obama did...

Funny. I liked Obama better in the debates. I thought that he answered more questions straight.

What got me was the last debate when the question was about the economy in four years, and he answered in a decade. I noticed quite a few of his answers I didn't agree with, so, I;m just not voting for him...Truthfully, if Nader were running, I think we are so screwed I'd vote for him.

Haha, I hear ya...Coming back to NC, I figured out just how much more there is to do here. I know for a fact in Colorado, if it isn't western influenced, skiing/snowboarding, Indian reservations or horses, you have nothing to do. In Co. Springs, the mall was crappy and Fort Carson was really boring... But it was pretty. Snow was fun and I had a horse...>.<

Has any one else noticed how Palin NEVER gives a staight answer. She dances around the question and tries to act all cute. Do we really want this woman as our president?surprised Think about it McCain is old, I mean reaaalllyyy old, plus he has bad health problems. If he becomes president and then dies we are sooooo f*cked. This woman is not equipt to run a country, nor is she equipt to handle politicts. Every time Biden attacks Palin, she cries 'sexist'. Well honey that is what politics are about, discrediting the other party. If you cant stand the heat get the f*ck out the kitchen.

McCaine what were you thinking?

I have a serious Question for all of you. Did anyone watch the Last presidential Debate? You talk about Palin skirting the issues, turn and look at Obama. He was asked a question about where he saw the economy in FOUR, repeat, FOUR years. Do you know how he answered?

"In a Decade, I see the economy...."

Yes he said in Ten years.

Think about this as well, What do you think is going to happen if Obama becomes president? Oil prices will go up, because he doesn't want to drill for domestic oil. Alaska has plenty of oil reserves, as does Texas, and most of the central states. You think gas prices are high now? They will sky rocket worse than the 70s.

Yeah, McCain is ANCIENT, but Obama is IGNORANT to what the people really need. I truly think that having both as candidates is an insult to us. Could we not have found two smarter and more experienced people to run for president? Out of all of the geniuses could we not have picked two better people?

Ok, The Game is kind of confusing. It is a game where there is no object, just kinda sticks with you. There is no way to win the game, unless you went to Enloe High School in NC and they have the answer (supposedly) I unfortunately do not attend Enloe. Anything and everything will make you think of the game, most commonly it happens in groups who either do or have a few people who know. You think of the game and you lose. You can only lose every ten minuets (A rule put in place by the good people at Apex high school). When you lose, you may either say it out loud in the form of "I lose the Game!" "I Lose!" "I've Lost the Game!" or "Make Ma****a (Pronounced Mach-A Mosh-ta [long A])" The game is a world wide phenomenon. It originally started in either Japan or Australia....we do not know currently. It is kind of the thing where you start and it is almost impossible to quit. You don't lose all of the time, but something will happen, inevitably and you lose. There are times where you haven't lost for a while, but don't let that fool, you, there will be a moment where you will lose.

This game isn't meant to hurt, but instead bring those who know it together and to have fun.
