i seen this on yahoo. VANCOUVER, Canada (AFP) - Tanya Dumstrey-Soos, 32,
has bled to death after a tiger reached beneath its enclosure and
slashed at her leg, severing an artery, the Globe and Mail reported
Friday.

The newspaper reported that the mother of two bled to death late
Thursday waiting for an ambulance, while her teenage son and another boy
tried in vain to stop the flow.


The tiger is one of three owned by Kim Carlton, the boyfriend of the
woman, who kept the big cats in a cage in a remote rural village about
100 miles northwest of this metropolis.


His business, Siberian Magic, invited people to visit and be
photographed with the the tigers, which also made appearances in
shopping malls, said media reports.


The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals had tried to seize
the animals since 2005, most recently last January, said reports.


The tigers were kept in an inadequate enclosure and were considered a
safety risk, but there was nowhere to place them, said a spokesman with
the humane agency told CBC Radio.


Provincial government authorities said Friday they will reconsider
legislation governing ownership of such animals in British Columbia.


Under provincial or Canadian federal laws it is not illegal to own
so-called exotic pets, although many Canadian municipal governments have
banned animals such as big cats.
