Probably why when confronted by the significant other the reply goes something like this ... "it was just sex; it just happened; you know I only love you."
I would rather loosen the leash and hear the truth from my partner that "he & Bill got it on last weekend" than to hear Alex tell me he heard from Bill that my partner got some from him." Don't lay in bed with me and in the heat of it all tell me "oh Bill that was HOT!"

I remember sitting at the dinner table writing a letter while the TV was on across the room. I heard something interesting, looked up from the table and across the room noticing it took a wee bit of time to totally focus on the TV.
Went to get my eyes checked ... "welcome to the world of bifocals, it only gets worse from here on" the optometrist smiles.

I have before. Yeah its risky. No it doesn't always work out. But at least I can live a life without regrets.

Yes, a person really doesn't know another until time has been spent together in person rather than digitally.
Besides, we all need a vacation now & then. Make that trip to meet your potential special someone a part of your much needed vacation before going "postal"!

I would suppose a LDR would be somewhat par to military spouses. Guys/gals are separated weeks-months at a time before being able to take R&R for a short period of time before being deployed again.

I exchanged letters with a special someone in Oregon while on tour of duty in Vietnam. We shared brief moments when I was reassigned to a tour in Germany.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder! So the old saying goes.

I believe you can be madly in love. Your feelings are quite real. The problem is that the person, if only known to you online is your fantasy of who they are.

Even if they are not being deceptive, you have to get to know them all over again when you meet in person. You owe that to yourself/ves to do that. It may mean you have to grieve the loss of the online fantasy person.


Bravo! If fantasy person isn't willing to sit & chat over coffee at a public place, then I would declare him/her just that - fantasy!
