I am looking at the profile of the men looking for an intimate encounter, who describes his interests with words "Hi a lot of fun".

He joined about three weeks ago. This is his second post on Mingle.
He asks: "Black CHICK white guy. Any thoughts?"

Yes, I have one. I wonder what inspired this question and why was the word CHICK used instead of WOMAN. OK, and a GUY instead of MAN.

Sorry, but it sounds like a porn title to me...

Does HE have any thoughts on this topic?

Very few men called me old fashioned in a real life, unlike those in an online world. Perhaps people act differently online because of feeling of anonymity?spock

I had an opportunity to talk to some people who would most likely want to meet in person. In most cases I didn't want even to encourage any conversation that might be leading in that direction because I felt it wouldn't lead anywhere. Not even to friendship.
Many of them incorrectly assumed it was about avoiding an intimacy. Quite the opposite. We have a different point of view on how relationship should begin and grow.
They would begin in bed after three dates or even sooner and see where it takes us from there, unlike me who would rather not begin a relationship or base it on a great sex, regardless how tempting it might be.
Perhaps they do not need to feel close to a woman to have a great sex, but I do not want to jump into someone's bed just because mine is empty now.
They didn't understand why we wouldn't get closer after, not before getting to know each other intimately, despite the fact we would most likely feel that chemistry. So, I was called old fashioned.
After a while I stopped explaining. I guess if the starting points are so different, even explaining the next one who asks about my reasons for not looking forward to meet in person would be just a waste of time. So, I just reply that I am old fashioned.
I guess waiting for souls to touch before the bodies passionately follow is rather unusual on a current dating scene. Even among those 50+
So, if I do not want to play by new unwritten, but socially accepted rules of dating which define sex on a third date or even earlier as a normal expectation, does it make me old fashioned?
It seems so. LOL

From the excuses the original poster is trying to spin, and the pedestrian level word games...
I'll wager, the wife doesn't yet know they're separated and getting divorced.

I'll wager, he kept the separation and divorce a secret from her.

I'll wager, that I know a great divorce attorney, that I can refer her to, when she finds out.

You mean his wife doesn't know he thinks he is not married?

There is never a reason good enough for me btw. I'd never date a married man.

Here in the US, it is public information, you don't even have to ask them for the papers.

Find the county of marriage and go to the court house.

Online public circuit court access is sooooo much easier though.

Agreed. I have nothing to add. It is easy to overlook useful and helpful information provided on a forum. So, I guess it doesn't hurt to repeat it.

I misunderstand nothing. Despite your post to Estelle, any member can jump in and voice an opinion or debate.

So you have stated you are lazy about the divorce. Why? Strings? love? punishment? Control?

Now you state, that you would remarry again if you found the right one. Well, you can't unless you divorce. laugh

There is no priority unless you find a person willing to put up with procrastination? And what is procrastination a sign of? It ends up being circular, in effect driving you crazy by continuing the behavior.

I'll second that.

There really is not much difference chatting here then on email so why can't they chat here? Its kind of like the same thing....

Actually the messages go thru faster on here versus emailing....well it's the truth!

So, if they already don't have enough time for chatting here, how could they have even more time for an e-mail exchange?

That post hit the mark!! Can't agree much more! If I meet someone worth of getting married again, I will do it despite my opinions of the matter because it would be a small price to pay. For all of you that do not understand or do not want to understand, the price to pay is my acceptance of opinion/belief of the better half!!

Btw, I was living on Martha street in Burlington for 1.5 year, loved the area and winery's around Lake Ontario!!

Peter

Really? Why are you using MY WORDS NOW to explain your point of view three pages later? If that's how you truly feel it would show in FIRST FEW POSTS YOU WROTE.
So, my conclusion was correct. You really think you are THAT GOOD. It didn't take you long to choose whose post to ignore and whose to reward with a smile.
Those who care about the better half do not leave unfinished business when looking for a newer and better better half. There is a way to get things done and over with even if former better half delays them for whatever reason.
So, please, do not pee on my leg while you're telling me it's raining. LOL

I might be less likely to believe them on here ... about separation & getting a divorce ... but if say a meet was to happen and they live in two separate dwellings and either or had a S/O already moved in ... then I would say their telling the truth & waiting on the final papers ... I am not sure if I would ask to see the court papers ... guess I would have to really like someone a lot first:smile:

I would not only ask to see all the relevant papers (and provide mine, of course), but also to discuss all important issues from health to financial ones.
You tell me now type of situation is never a good situation. Life shall put any love to a test with unpleasant surprises such as, for example, oh you tell me now that you had more than one marriage and two children with the women you left overseas to raise them on her own, or, what happened to honesty when we talked about some inherited health conditions you have "forgotten to mention".
Some things should be told to a partner in advance. If people have unfinished business I wouldn't have any business with them regardless my feelings or their firm promises.

Yes you did miss the majority of my points. Your correct CEO's do not all make millions only a few do. CEO's do answer to the investors' who answer to the stock-holder's. Investors answer to the people who are investing there income that is not considered disposable. All working peoples' job's are important regardless what it is they do.

Many people are intellegent and educated, but only a few receive the opportunities to climb the ladder of success. The one's that do not climb the ladder of success due to lack of opportunities; work in job's or career's that are available, or they are interested in. They are not lazy or dumb only there are not enough professional careers' for all individual's.

I was not trying to place blame on CEO's, Cheif Financial Officers, or investors'. I did say if no one bought commodities that were not needed to survive MEANING (NOT RELATED TO: FOOD, SHELTER, OR CLOTHING) many job's would not exist, leaving less room for investment oppportunities and a potiential to gain wealth from multiple sources of investment. The returns would be much less, because there are more people wanting to invest in a limited pool of businesses. I did say the labourer, janitor, or etc. are not responsible for the recession we all just went through.

It is a gobal economy and law's regardless of what the title of the ACT is are not equal around the world. Explain this to everyone that is responding to this topic.

BP invested a billion dollars' into an oil refinery in Russia. Near completion Russian told BP it did not meet Russia's Environmental Standards Act. Do you believe and telling everyone in this topic that BP; would not have followed those Environmental Standards of Russia if they were part of Russia's Envrionmental Act. Why would BP throw away a billion dollars of investor's money?

Businesses invest in countries that do not have the same standards in law for greater profits. Therefore law's are changed, but usually grandfathered if projects are started or the corrections can be made to fix the problem. BP pulled right out of this project. The cost to correct the new standards was to great.

All businesses are concerned in having enought ASSETS' to prevent closure or being over taken by another business - but most large businesses are designed to operate with greater liabilities than asset's - due to change in technology. Too many countries are divided that cause financial problems. They all have concern for there citizens and their countries growth - if the country has something to offer investors'.

The question is how to create a global economy, where everyone earns enough income to survive, invest for retirement, and have disposable income. What people spend there disposable income on will very depending on those individuals wants or needs.

Also we need to look at relationships and single people. Single people's cost of living are higher than couples that live together. Familys' cost of living is even greater than couples or single peoples living expenses; generally.

I was trying to point out that there are many reasons why peoples wealth is lower than what is needed. Money will not make a relationship, but only allow the affordability of wants. I do not have an answer or explination that can explain all that is involved.

It is impossible to cover all the relevant factors in one reply, but
your explanation was elaborate and your arguments were strong and logically sound.

Mostly because of greed and fear.

Certain life style requires wealth.

Also, a large number of people do not trust other people and would rather rely on money than kindness of family, friends or strangers in hard times.

awww, you guys, I saw Ruth's profile is deactivated. ohwell flowerforyou

Maybe I should take it as a sign not to look for... answers... in a virtual world? LOL

Thanks for an info.flowerforyou

If I may,...when the time is right for you and you have gotten things into the past and apply those lessons learned, living in the now, you will find what you visualize with intent. Do it in the now, not the past. flowers

Oh I live in the now, but don't want to settle for what is out there in order not to be alone, if you know what I mean...
Thanks for an advice and all the best to both of you. May love never leave you on your life journey. flowers

Hi Ruth, I'm new. Fellow Cancer! May I please have one?

The energy around you is currently set up to bring your soul mate into your life. Be very clear about what you are looking for and set your intention. Write down the qualities of the person you are looking for and visualize your relationship and what it would look like on a day to day basis. The person you seek is out there looking for you. Call them in.

Ruth did this reading for me only a week before Rock and I reconnected.

I'm so glad we found each other.
And, so grateful, that M2 gave us that chance to reconnect.

Hey, that's great!smile2 You two give others hope and I thank you both for it.flowerforyou flowerforyou waving waving

Hello Ruth! flowerforyou
I wonder if I'll ever find love or I'm condemned to live without it. Would you be so kind to ask love oracle should I give up?
Thanks in advance!waving
