You are chatting with friends on Yahoo and all of the sudden someone pops in and starts chatting with you and you have not invited them as a friends list. They say that they have seen your profile on Just Say Hi. But you ask them about it and OH my goodness they have been deleted. What is this all about and how do I get this to stop. Help me Please

It happened to me yesterday. I even told the guy I had a boyfriend and he still wouldn't let up. I blocked him from my yahoo..

I usually go invisible too, and let those that I want to talk to know I'm on. The stealth settings on there lets you choose who can see you online!!

I hate when random people pop up and start asking me sex questions. Grrrr. Tell em how it is, its no different than if someone stopped you on the street and talked to you that way, well except you can't pop em in the eye thru yahoo...

you can also report him/her as spam, that "might" get a little more attewntion, but I would not hold your breath waiting for it, but block them as well

When you block them, you will have the option to report them as spam, just do that. I made the mistake of using an email name as an ID for a site. They guess and sometimes they are right. Others just cruise yahoo and pick out a page to contact. All you can do is block them. Stealth is a good tool as well. When you are online, it shows a yellow happy face, you can set your option to have it not show that on your page. Hope this helps.

Under the my account tab click on settings and then turn off instant messaging.

Yahoo directory will list you if you have the same name as you do here. Go into your account profile and check that you do not want to be on the public directory.

go to you tube type in online romance scams they show the pictures of the 7 different males and females. If something is too good to be true it usually is. had one contact me yesterday did a background check turns out their in nigeria using this scheme to fund terrorism. its hard to keep faith in humanity when u see something like this.
