I have been apart from my ex for 4 years and have had 2 relationships in that time, and would feel funny about him meeting someone...but if someone I was dating was there I certainly wouldn't make them leave. Maybe he is a violent person and she didn't want a fight to break out especially with you only being a month into the realtionship. I was going out to dinner with a guy friend one Friday night and my ex was coming to pick up my daughter. He has met this friend before, but in a very different setting. (ie, not at my house waiting to go to dinner) I thought nothing of it. When my ex left my friend was mad because he said he felt like the "home wrecker" even though we haven't been together for 4 years and the friend and I have never dated..... People just have different views on things.....

leave that "separated" trash at the curb!!! If its not finalized they're still married as far as I see it and that just leads to problems that aren't worth it. Been there, done that
