just read in local paper feds are going to take dna samples from EVERYONE they pick up reguardless of whether they get charged with or arrested for a crime ---------------- answer -- hello white house how may i direct your call caller -- is adolf available you get the idea

DNA is still not that reliable yet they use it to convict people of murder everyday.

If they check my DNA, they may place me in a reservation because of my Native blood. Can't see how they can do that if I only have an ounce of it.

well i see the locals calling the feds on a suspect and the feds picking them up for """suspicion""" of terrorism and getting dna and wala they are now in the system threw the back door and all the sudden they either have them or clear them yes big brother as well works but the gestapo had unyielding power as well

DNA is still not that reliable yet they use it to convict people of murder everyday. DNA is very reliable when it is done properly. People are more often convicted of an unreliable eye witness and circumstantial evidence than DNA

People are more often convicted of an unreliable eye witness and circumstantial evidence than DNA Agreed. Infact, DNA testing gets more reliable each and every year. It is extremely reliable today.

No one forcably places people on reservations anymore. Many many Native American's live off res and you can't force a person onto one. In fact, back home, more live off res and in town and lease out their land to white farmers and ranchers.

well they say it is reliable but regardless it is unreasonable search and seizer of body for them to take dna without (without permission) with no charges bn filed how many liberties will you give up for a false sense of security

I'm not condoning their actions at all. But it doesn't surprise me either that its coming to that. I don't see it could realistically be done tho. Can u imagine the expense and man power of processing everyone's DNA that they choose to pick up?

They MUST have legitimate reason for taking DNA evidence. If they do not, then they can't. Now they can ask and people can give it without a warrant. But it is one of those things that requires a warrant. A person has every right to refuse unless there is a warrant. I would have thought that if the federal government was passing something to allow federal agents to take dna samples on anyone they pick up for anything, then there would have been more talk and outcry against such a change in the laws.

You're forgetting about the "Patriot Act", they can do whatever they want now. true that people have no clue what the unpatriot act permits or makes illegal (like this thread)
