My son picked his girlfriend up from work the other nite and knowing she was having a bad day had went and gotten a room at the Hampton Inn so they could have a nite away from the apt. In this room he had filled it with candles. He had her bath water run (with bubbles) and a glass of wine waiting. She was so excited she had to call me and tell me how sweet it was. I guess I must have done something right...and he is only 25!

What is the most romantic thing someone has done for you??

Go ahead...kiss and tell!

I dated a landscaper once who was doing a job at an botanical garden. He set up a picnic in the atrium that was perfectly romantic. He even spread the blanket next to my favorite flowers. Awww...he remembered! We spent the whole night drinking wine and star gazing. I was a very sweet gesture from the heart, and I'll always have special memories of him for it. flowerforyou

I don't think I will pass that onto him for future reference but I will keep it on my list of things to add for that special man who is lucky enough to find me one day! flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

I never had something like "that" done...but it sure was sweet of him

I have always loved wildflowers. Especially wild daisies. My guy had known this from our conversations, and while driving down the road...he quickly pulled over noway I was looking for the deer he must have been avoiding...when he jumps out of the truck and grabs me one single wild daisy and shyly handed it to me...sighsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

It may not be huge? But it meant the world to me

Someone sent me a dozen roses while I was in the hospital once. And cards and letters are always nice, too. And I like getting e-mails and calls, too.

Other than that, no. Kinda wish my wife'd been waiting when I got back from a month in the field way back when, but wasn't to be.

It's nice to reciprocate the way your partner does: If she sends a card, send one back, gives a gift, give one back. You find each other's love style and echo it and you can't go wrong! Some give time, some give gifts, some verbalize, you just have to match things sometimes.

I did send flowers a couple of weeks back for an Easter surprise. They were much appreciated.
