Memories of the ones i loved and mistakes i made
regrets of loss of loved ones and the price i paid
In all of this i feel the strength smiling from above
there is no doubt you see, it surely must be love
For there are more that paid a bigger price than me
one who walked on water in the sea of Galilee
I am but filthy rags to him, i'm just a mortal man
Yet still he loves and comforts me and helps me understand
some memories can be painful to that we can attest
but memories of blessings are the ones that i like best
so when you think of memories and those who bear the cost
Think of the man who died for you and nailed upon a cross
with a crown of thorns he asked "father please forgive"
One memory that i shall have as long as i may live.

Thanks guys, i'm not a poet, that came to me while i was working in the garden, thinking of my lost ones. thought i would post it.

Humm and what considers one a poet? I was told a long time
ago from someone that was here. That poetry comes in many
styles but.....as long as it was from the heart then it was
poetry.
