well it all depends on the type of person you're trying to get a date with!

I tend to just ask. That works. No special effects or gimmicks.
In this case, with my current SO, I just talked to him a lot and sent lots of e-mails. I think I wore him down. I must've done something right, he flew from Oregon to Ohio to meet me. |

Just be honest when doing either. Honesty breeds trust and trust is a major factor women look for.

if we end up talking i would ask them if they would like to meet up for some coffee, because i enjoyed the conversation and like the type of person they are in real life i just flash them a smile and they come crawling to me...
