When do u think is the proper amount of time to have the talk with someone u are seeing to be in a relationship??....I know most ppl will say it depends on how the person feels and all but im just looking for opinions and some input. I kinda feel like why ruin a good thing by putting a label on itbigsmile ohwell

I would have the talk as soon as I had thought it over and knew I felt I wanted a "relationship" in order to see if he was on the same page or if he wants more time, OR TO CUT HIM LOOSE. It's just part of the relationship you have already, the communication part. Doesn't mean he has to be in the same place, but it's part of the sharing and caring aspect of a relationship. Just my 2 cents. drinker Best wishes. flowerforyou

why label it? It's sort of a given after 3-4 straight dates anyhow. As we get older terms like "going with one another" become funny sounding and silly. The is much power in the unsaid word. You can just look into one another's eyes and know. That my $.02.

then kick them to the curb, simple. plus 3-4 straight dates usually equal a month if it takes them that long to decide, then just leave

I think as soon as you want to be exclusive, then that needs to be brought up. If you are exclusive, than it is usually safe to say you are in a relationship. flowerforyou

ok, when a guy starts dating you and stops thinking about others, THEN, you could verify I guess. With a guy, when we start taking you out exclusively, then you have us....or we're real desperate to get laid.

3 - 4 dates? wow!! well that is about the time i can tell if i either want to spend more time with a guy or dump him... usually but to call him my boyfriend? not really takes over a month sometimes and lots of spending time to figure that one out... then the feeling sure has to be a mutual thing to be able to call each other boyfriend and girlfriend...
