why is it when my kids palay on my space it always slows my computer down

It`s a problem with the " physical memory or system cache " , it appears on Mozilla users often , just reboot your pc and it`s done
To verify your system cache just open task manager , and select Performance |

Not a Dell Danny, more of a "mongrel"
It's an Acer Aspire T120,(I know,it's old< have done a lot of adding to it though) I do know that it worked fine a couple of weeks ago,now it does not recognise DVD-RW + nor -. I have just "flashed " the drive, will see if it makes any difference with an update of the firmware.Thank you for your response.

I've got one. I have a computer with Vista, and I log to the internet via dialup modem (hey I live in the country, what can I say?). How do I keep this thing from dialing in on it's own? It's like Vista has to have an internet connection. I've got "never dail a connection" checked in the internet settings, but it does no good.

Don`t look in the internet explorer settings , in the advanced section of the properties of your isp, is it set to establish a dial up connection ?

It does have a listing in the advance properties of tcp/ip v.6 that says if the computer cannot send items accross my local network it uses the dial up as a default. If I uncheck that can my network computers still use dial up? And would that stop the incessant autodialing? |

I have a laptop someone gave me. It has a low battery. I bought a cord that plugs it into the wall. I am sure it is the correct voltage.
I plug it in and a note pops up that I should switch from battery to outlet power. I don't know how to do that. Then a light comes on indicating it seems to be working on electric cord power. Then after a while it crashes as if it has no power. What's going on and what should I do? JB |

My computer uses an Intel 975X chipset and is currently running a Core2Duo E6600 processor. What are my options if I wanted to upgrade my CPU?
Also- what would be a decent (yet easy to install) aftermarket heatsink I could get for said CPU? I bought one, but it was a total pain-in-the-keester to install, so I just went ahead and installed the stock Intel cooler instead. |

How do you change your url address? If you mean your home page, under IE explorer goto tools> internet options> and under homepage enter your URL you wish to start out in when you load IE. For Firefox its pretty much the same. Just click Tools > options and your there. |

Heres a link to some software that monitors your battery power. Maybe we can see what your battery is doing and see if its the battery that might be causing the issues |
