on cnn...i couldnt effing believe it..some ppl should have a license to be a parent.

Police in southern Germany say they have removed a seven-month-old boy from his parents after they tried to sell him for one euro (US$1.57) over eBay.

Krumbach police spokesman Peter Hieber said baby Merlin has been put in care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region and was doing well on Saturday.

Authorities have launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the parents.

Hieber said the mother told police she had only intended the Internet ad as a joke. No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted. Ebay deleted the posting afterward.

Several people who saw the ad alerted the police.

If it was suppose to be a joke she should have made a notation that it was not real and just a game/ j/k. I could never joke about selling my kids.

My girl friend told me about a cahtolic school in new orleans last night that if your kid is geting out of control that you can send your kids to and they actualy come pick your kid up by plane so that they cannot run away. So my friend jokes with her girls if they ever get out of hand that she is going to have the nuns come and get them. lmao

I often take my twin boys to the supermarket they are the love of my life however they are very cute (unlike their father) (I think it was the postman). Any way when the cashier says how cute they are I almost always reply (ihave brought them back can I have my money back) which they find very funny. This type of live joke is different from actually putting the kids up for sale . ebay does not accept adds unless established seller and once established they can find out about you your emal your address and hence your child. I even persuade people not to put thier kids pictures on this site.

Wow, no bids. That's kind of rough to find out early on that your kid is completely worthless.

Look, I see someone is going to have to stick up for the parents, and as usual, that falls to me. They tried to find a home for their child that wasn't with it's birth parents. Okay, so they didn't use an adoption agency, they could have still been trying to find a descent home.

Maybe they can't afford to raise a child, thus making it end up homeless. They could have figured if someone has enough money to bid for a child, they should be able to afford to raise it. Even I've heard the illegal baby market can pay as much as $25k for a child. And there are those who are unwilling to wait for the paperwork to clear (or are not eligible).

It's their kid, they made it, they should be able to sell it if they want. If they made brooms, you'd let them sell those, and wouldn't say anything about it.

(Okay, that's the best I can do on short notice, you can start the personal attacks... now!)
