I got just one word for ya. Chantix......ask your Dr about it. Ive been smoke free from the beginning of this month with very little withdrawl and no side efffects except maybe the occasional upset tummy. Couple of crackers when you take it will cure that.

It is expensive so hope you have insurance to cover it, or the money to pay for it. I swear by this stuff! It is working for several members of my family and my stop smoking buddie as well and he smoked 2 1/2 packs a day.

my wife quit after her lung collapsed and then took her off of life support.but i dont think the lung cancer had anything to do with it.

I just said to myself, "I'm not smoking anymore", and I dint!

Used candy and gum for mouth stimulation

Used Excercise and sex as stresss reliever

Used a pencil in between fingers as a physical comfort

Used my health and money saved as incentive

The more I exercised the less I wanted a cigarettee..

This also takes away the fear of weight gain.

simple, i took drugs and it was a drug called Chantix, its Dr prescribed, but totally worth it. once i started taking this pill i lost the cigarette craving(i could barely go 20 minutes w/o shoving another one into my mouth)side affects, the most intense dreams ever and thats about it, nothing else. i took the pill for a total of 2 weeks and stopped

i havent smoked since and thats nearly 2 years

I had 2 packs left and quit cold turkey. I had a good reason. My grandson was born three months early and the only way I could hold him was to put a blanket between us. I did not want to do that so I quit for my little Cj. He passed away in my arms ten days later. I am still smoke free for him

I agree 100%. I used it and I've been smoke free for 8 months after smoking for 19 years.

And the only side effects I suffered from was the weird dreams and nausea from smoking a cigarette after taking the medicine.

But I will say I only took it for 2 1/2 months but I've read where others have taken it for a longer period of time and suffered other side effects from it. I don't know if taking it for a long period of time had anything to do with it or not being that I only took it for a short period of time.

I smoked for more than 10 years starting when I was a teen. One night almost 5 years ago, my chest started hurting pretty bad. This had been happening often but not as much as then. I thought of my friends and family and them seeing me dying of cancer in the future. I crushed my pack in my hand.

Since then, I've smoked maybe less than a pack in 5 years. Everytime I start smoking one, maybe at a club or a concert, it tastes so bad I put it out.

It's all in the mind. What's really important to you? When things go bad, smokers often start again because of nerves. It's rough, but the fight will make you stronger. It's much harder to fight cancer.....

I'm not planning on quitting, well anytime soon. I'm way too stressed and would probably wind up in jail for hurting someone badly.
