What a glorious plant
Such a hearty weed
And it came from
A mustard seed

It was dropped
There on hard ground
Nothing but rocks
All around

A soft breeze blew
It found a crack
Down from there
No looking back

Here it comes
Life giving rain
For the water
The crack was a drain

Soaked with life
The seed sent a root
Like a corner stone
Or the human foot

Now having a foundation
On which to stand
There comes a sprout
Up through the sand

Though that seed
Was so very small
That luscious plant
Grew strong and tall

The Lord my God
Provides what I need
To grow and flourish
Just like that seed
