humble beginnings and that dont make her any more special than any body on here . i grew up in a family of 11 . my mom raised the 4 youngest by her self . maybe not lawyers , that is not what we wanted to be. most of that time in a 2 b. r. we all do pretty well .

I grew up on a 35 acre farm and house only had 2 bedrooms and we had water from an underground spring, and my mother had no dryer, she had to hang clothes on a clothesline outside in summer, in basement in winter. She baked our bread, no storebought bread, made my clothes. Do I come from humbleness? |

it was painkillers , dr prescribed , like other people she got hooked . sounds like a lot of people dont really care . i dare say there are some on here that has been in the same boat .  She doesnt sound like a very good first lady to me Im concerned about her judgement  What happens if the Presidents wife has a relapse while we are in the midst of a crisis?? My 73 year old mother got addicted to pain killers prescribed for her fibromyalgia. Are you saying MY MOTHER is not a good person and did not care? MY oh MY Mirror, you have really been crossing the line into slander. Careful my friend. You may end up eating your words. What goes around comes around. Lindyy

I understand what your saying. Im just pointing out that as far as comparing potential first ladies go, Mrs.Obama has a definate advantage. It takes some serious spin to make it look any other way.

B- Like me you are White C- I remember black and white tv, no washing machine or dryer too. Few in those days had them! D- The same thing with the bread and clothes! Although we did buy 4 outfits a year, we had to travel 40 miles to get them and only got new ones once a year! For the times Id say you had a pretty normal and very good life! |

i had to take my own chances , idont care what color you are . ihad very good friend of mine died this who happened to be black ,at one time i worked for him for 2 1/2 years ! he worked hard to have his own auto repair shop . his mom and my mom worked in the same sewing plant . but if you are joking about being black it is not funny !

At least Obama and his wife act like real people. You don't see them looking around for the camera to make sure someone gets a picture of them. All the other politicians make their public interactions with their spouses look staged. On NPR, it was reported the two women wearing head scarfs were asked to move out from behind Mr. Obama during a event where photographs were being taken. It was felt that the women would infer a Muslim support of Obama, or that he aligns himself with that. |
