that some people who have little or no love in their life are bitter and resentful of those that love and are loved? Why do they not recognize that the bitterness and anger keep people away?

Are you a love expert ?.
I do not know if you have love or not .
How can you judge people without knowing them at all ?.
Is love written on their faces ?.
surprised surprised .

And yes I have love and what would make you think I'm talking about people I do not know? The fact is I speak about people I've known for decades!!!

Since when have I shared my thoughts with you? Who are you to question the intent of my post?

This is a public forum and people question anything that does not make sense to them .
I found it hard to know if one has love or not .
For instance children from different backgrounds and homes end up in similar situations : when it comes to drugs , early pregnancy ...etc .
So the point I made no one has the word love written on his chin........!.

You can tell people who do not have love in their lives and likely haven't for a while, by the bitterness and resentfulness that comes out in them over time.

when i see two people in love i admire them.. not resent them and have thoughts that they make me sick... that is unreal...trust me ive had my share of bad relationships.. and have been treated worse than probabaly 70 percent. doesnt give me a right to have bad feelings for someone whom seems to have what ive always wanted outta life... my best friends are married . i admire their relationship .. yes they are both my best friends the husband and wife both:smile: i admire when i see a couple that are like 70 or so walking hand in hand... it seems all to rare for me to see that... and i guess sometimes i may be a bit rude cause i stare at them <never got caught> and it puts me in daydream mode with a smile on my face... cause that is what i want in life to have closeness like that..

i guess its cause i think possitive - about the good things i see when two have a good relationship...

and i guess the other side would be negative- about why do they get that and i had such a bad time . not fair .. wah wah wah.. i guess you could call this behavior as self centered and all about theirselves...

Some people do not like to be reminded of their mistakes, and so by seeing others in love, reminds them they are failures (because they haven't tried again at that moment or the moment) and they are bitter as a result.

They are not failures.

Sometimes relationships end because of the private reasons of only one of the individuals. It may be that the one left has been an exemplary partner and lover in every way, shape, and form - taken care of themselves, and kept themselves interesting.

One person usually gets left in any relationship. Most of the time, it is not a mutual decision, whether in thought or action. Being left, being rejected, is bound to create deep pain in one's heart and soul. It is enough to make some people physically sick. So, it is only natural that mistrust, resentment, and bitterness evolve as a result.

What matters is how long we hold on to these toxic feelings and allow them to poison our lives and the lives of others around us.

Being hateful, parsimonious, hurtful towards others only means that we are still angry about the love we had being lost. "Lost", because we cannot take love and hold it hostage. It can only be given by us. Being angry still, only means that we have not released our hold on that love that was not ours to keep hostage, anyway. It means we still love, even if it is not healthy for us. The opposite of love is not anger or hate, it is indifference.

We sometimes project our feelings about ourselves or a lost love object onto others that are reminders. And, other times, yes - we are bitter and envious of others. It becomes toxic if we allow it to fester and last a long time. It indicates a stunted emotional development at an earlier life stage. Then, the choice is ours whether we work on our own personal growth and development, or we remain stagnant and in forever despair.

For me it's simple hippie theory

PEACE, LOVE and FREEDOM

When I see other's acheive it, I am happy.

People who are resentful have crap on their core. They need to get a shovel and start diggin. Instead of continuing to let it pile up. The end result is the crap in the interior is personafied by the exterior.

The only person they hurt,,,are themselvesohwell

Eventually, they get buried alive by it.

Not everyone shows it the same way.

Some show it in their attitude towards the opposite sex. Those who "hate" men or women are easy to spot from miles away, in most cases.

Others are more subtle about it, cheating on everyone they form a relationship with. It is as if by hurting them, they vindicate themselves to those that they perceive have "damaged" them in the past.

It seems to me the point you were trying to make was to disparage me. If I know someone for a long time it stands to reason I would know if they have love in their life. You assumed I was talking about strangers. You know what happens when someone assumes don't you?

brokenheart tears I remind myself that tears heal. And, that this is growth in the process.

"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference."
