the "So, why are you still single?" question as much as guys do? Just curious, since almost every guy who IMs/emails me asks that question.

maybe its a way for shy people to pay you a compliment. too bad you dont appreciate it.. Maybe they could try complimenting people in another way? The question certainly doesn't sound like it's a compliment.

i think a person perceives someone, in some fashion, very desirable, and can't imagine there's not some hidden reason for their 'singleness'. of course, if there is a reason, who is going to tell that anyway? i say, just be glad they are, else you wouldn't be talking with them in the first place most likely, and you might stumble across a diamond.
