I do put them down when I'm done yes. It's amazing how easy something is to do once you commit it to habit.

It used to stay up all the time but a few live in girlfriends later, I'm starting to get housebroken so it gets put back down for the most part!

nah...no big deal to me. :P And I keep lysol handy wipes under the sink just in case...I have a 7 yr old boy who doesn't aim so well in his sleep and a 2 yr just learning how to make that thing work...in the eternal scheme of things...it really doesn't matter if he lifts the seat or not...hit or miss....just always seemed like such a petty thing to argue about imho

No, it is not a big deal!!! This topic drives me nuts. It's a toilet seat. It goes up and down. It has hinges. Both males and females are capable of moving it. If this is all you have to moan about in your relationships or life count your blessings!
