I'm like the only negro in Huntington Beach, Ca. I feel perfectly safe. But it seems I have developed a new superpower. The ability to make old ladies clutch their purses when I walk by, as well as the power to make door locks automatically LOCK when I pass a car...
It's pretty cool...

I walk two miles at midnight on a sidewalk along a road that has hardly any lights. It's safe here. The most dangerous neighborhoods are the poorer ones. Get to a higher income area even if it means paying a little more or having less room.

very safe. Theres only 7 houses on my street with woods surrounding. Only thing I have to worry about is the racoon that comes on the porch everynite to have a stare down with my dog through the door on my
 front porch

well I feel safe cause I live on a dead end road in the middle on the county & and far in the country..So my biggest worry is a coon,possum,mad cat or dog.maybe a goat or cow that got loose.
 .and this time of year snakes in the road ..and the possible drunk thats going to the lake to fish

I would only walk around the near by area of the
house I am staying in.  Any further down and its drug city U.S.A. (and this goes with all
cultures)  I would have to run for my life
with all the gun shots and fighting going on.  Guess its much better than my old neighboorhood though- had to stay in at night
lockup, close all the blinds, and pray. That house got shot up when I was living in it due to druggies arguing next door. 
(((Katie))) I must say you look absoulutely beautiful in that new pic. It is very artistic! Gives you that look of the 1940's lady (or perhaps the dancing flapper gal). Beautiful!
