The killing of any person deserves a trial.

I'm not sure what you are asking, does a 9 year olds murder deserve a
trial or a murder thats over 9 years old deserve a trial...either way
the answer is yes..there is no statute of limitations on murder in the
US...every murder committed deserves a trial, sadly it doesn't always
happen because the perp isn't caught

Woah! *If* you are the murderer of that 9 year old girl, then maybe you
are right, but one of the reasons for a trial is to have some standards
for determining *whether* a person did it.

Everybody should have the right to a trial.

A few months ago this guy accused me of (wrongly!) of illegally
fabricating a business permit - apparently i have a look-alike in the
same business who was seen committing this crime, in kinkos.

But the problem here is my accuser is *completely certain* he saw me do
this - and he is completely wrong.

We need trials because mistakes like this happen.

Wow, I stop showing up here and Gina actually starts posting Threads
that aren't based soley around hating men... I wonder if it's snowing
down there.....

Good point Gina, but yeah there should be a trial to ensure that the
person commisted the murders (like that mom that killed her babies by
drowning them, I believe in the car). But after the jury convicts them
the Jury should just proceed to club them to death like a Baby
Seal....How's that for a soulution?

Still must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Sometimes even when it
looks like someone did something it hasn't been them. Then you wind up
with the wrong person paying. Still happens with trials but person has a
better chance of defending themself if innocent.

Gina, Are you saying that the woman who drowned her kids did not get
punished enough? You would rather see her get the death sentence?

Also, it sounded to me like sluggo was being playful, and didn't mean
for his words to be taken literally or too seriously (but i don't want
to put words in his mouth...). Like my comments, in another thread,
where i mentioned your negativity towards men, i was exaggerating for
effect - i know you don't really hate all men. I didn't mean to
offend.

Sorry to hear that Gina (I never heard of the circumstances you're
talking about). The three guys in question pretty much deserve the same
fate with the Jury and the Clubing, in my book that's as bad....

Sorry for any of my past comments that might have offended you (I would
write more personally in email but I'm blocked if I recall
correctly)....

This topic makes no sense to me. There are no facts, however, everyone
is entitled to defend themselves.drinker

Don't blame you Gina about protecting yourself. As for the ?,every crime
deserves a trial.I agree that lots of times the punishment is not severe
enough.Lots of women have given me reason to NOT trust them too.I don't
hold it against all of them tho.Always be conscious of whats going on
around you but don't live in fear. Can never be completely happy like
that.
