 If a guy/girl cheated on you after just a week of dating (you really like him/her and have been waiting for this for so long!) would you forgive them?

Not sure it's called cheating at that point. One week is kinda early for a committed relationship.

I'm not sure that "cheating" can be achieved after only a week's worth of dating! How can you enter a monogomous relationship within such a short time frame? Sure, maybe you had a really good time......maybe you BOTH had a really good time, but I'm not so sure that is long enough into a relationship to say that you are exclusive. Think about it! Think about the things the two of you DON'T know about each other after such a short time. Relax and enjoy yourself. Obviously the two of you were and may still not be of the same mindset. Take some time to get to know each other better before you decide he's "cheating". This may be a way of life for him. Again, the two of you are obviously not in the same mindset at this point in time!

Well, if it's casual dating and it's been a week, whatever. At the same time, I'd rather be with someone who wasn't so capricious as to just be sleeping around for the sake of "gettin' some". I'd hope that the person was having relations because they had feelings for someone. So, if he did have sex within the first week of dating, I'd break up either way, as he/she would likely either be too loose or already otherwise commited in my mind.

Is there an official definition of cheating? and does it matter if there was?
You don't have to date anyone who behaves in a way that is incompatible with your relationship perspective. Do you have to keep seeing this person or can you just end it 'cause it doesn't work anymore? mudfrog |
