Good question...when I don't see a pic, I get SKEERED! I agree with this. with no pic. I figure they are hiding something. and I tend to run the other way.

Could be a number of things... Shy.. No camera.. Low self esteem.. Embarassed to be seen by coworkers/family/friends on a dating/social site.. They want someone to like them for "them" not their looks.. Afraid of some psycho stalking them.. Married or in a relationship..

Interesting to see how many people think not posting a pic is REALLY a negative...kinda surprises me, since it's not a biggie to me. I might have to reconsider...but I DO notice that most of the people who read my post checked out my profile and haven't emailed. What's up with that?

I know for the longest time I hated every picture I ever saw of me. But the main reason (in the beginning) why I didn't post pictures was because I didn't have a digital camera or a scanner. Now, I'm more comfortable with me and how I look. So, there's a picture. I'm lazy and haven't sifted through any of my other pictures to find more I like.
I can only speak for me... but bottom line, I didn't have a picture posted in the beginning because of low self-esteem. |

They should email you, after checking your file?  That's so NOT what happens. I mean, I've viewed probably one hundred files, and there are ninety-five reasons in the profiles for me not to contact them. Too far, too old, etc. (Besides, what if they are surfing profiles and think that they are in stealth mode...but they really aren't? That happens.)  |

I have several friends that are on single sites that cannot post their pictures because of their jobs or security issues. Just to name a few examples law enforcement, military, people working undercover, witness protection program participants.

I see some of the reasons for not putting ur pic on the profile. But, don't leave the rest blank. Put a big discription of WHO U ARE and fill the other questions in as well.
