Ok..I haven't done this in a long time so I'm past due for a rant..WHEN are the able bodied and able minded people of the world EVER gonna look at a physically or emotionally challenged person and see PAST that long enough to sit down and actually get to KNOW the person..or in the case of online sites..WRITE them and get to know them..You CANNOT just LOOK at a person and decide that that person can't add anything into your life..You CANNOT just LOOK at a person and decide that you'd be a care giver instead of their boyfriend/girlfriend..Stop being so close minded in your own little worlds and look around you before you miss out on something that could have been the best thing to ever happen to you!

Some people are shallow. They like to run. Instead of working at anything. Some people just suck

Having a sister who is paralyzed, I have listened to her "rants" about this issue in the past and agree with you.

The good news is that she has a boyfriend who looks beyond the chair and loves the person that she is. Just know that people like that exists and there IS hope....

often times, especially in the online world... no matter who you are or what challenges and advantages you may have... they judge you purly on your pic. It sucks, I know...

Some people are very narrow-minded and lazy. It takes too much effort to see beyond the obvious.

I understand this, and in fact was almost guilty of doing it myself recently, out of fear of the unknown, but I took the chance and am quite happy with what I found on the other side. I found a kind, sweet, and caring woman. Don't know what will come of it, but I'm glad for the experience. It's really made me to look at people such as yourself and others in a different light. I think sometimes people like me forget that you guys are human and need love too like anyone else.

I agree with you 100%...there are those that CAN'T see beyond your "physical challenge" because they are SCARED.

Did you ever take into consideration people that aren't challenged get shot down too?!
The men you are talking to may just not be attracted to you.
...Maybe you aren't the type of female they are looking for (not to say that's a bad thing)
I could imagine most men beating around the bush and not giving you a direct answer because they DON'T want to be "that" guy that shoots you down because of your "uniqueness".

People get shot down everyday for VARIOUS reasons...

I guess I felt the need to remind you if you keep getting upset about getting shot down then YOU are the one making the issue regarding your "condition".

Ohh girl some people are so narrow minded they can't see that they could be missing out on the greatest thing in there lives. Yours is the chair mine is the weight yeah I can fix mine and working on it.

Some all they seem to see is one in a chair and they forget to see the person sitting there. I will agree with you on that but........don't give up for there are ones that see past that chair. Believe me if they can not you don't want them in your life.

As Katie said your a Beautiful person inside and out. One day someone will see the true you and will be worthy of your love.

One of my stepsisters best girl friend was in a chair due to and Auto Accident. Actually we never paid it no mind she was lots of fun to be around and she found the love of her life even had a son. He pampered her and loved her more then anyone could have. He was not in a chair he saw her for who she was he was with her till the end. She ended up with Ms and her health finally failed but they were together many years and she was the happiest person around.

Matter of fact we envied the relationship they had not in a bad way but always made use wonder how come we could not find that Diamond in the rough that she was so blessed to have found.
