You know those things kids just seem to say at the wrong time and the wrong place. surprised

OHhh I got one, lol now my daughter is 23 now but.. when she was 2 she
was very much a talker and had questions all the time and spoke very
clear sometimes tooo clear.

I use to take the kids at least once a week to Whyatt's Cafe to eat. Was
never any problems to take out to eat my son was 4 at the time and my
daughter was 2. We ate as usually and then went to pay the bill as we
were standing in line I was holding my daughter and had my son's hand
standing there waiting to pay the bill. Of course I was not paying
attention to whom was behind me for I had my hands full. When all of a
sudden out of the clear blue my daughter yells out OHHHH Mommy Look at
the CHOCOLATE BABY! as she was pointing her little finger at the lady
behind me holding her baby. Now if you don't think I wanted to go crawl
in a hole and die. Your wrong for I know my face had turned beet red not
knowing how to explain that one. Good thing the lady behind me had a
sense of humor she just started laughing out loud and said bless you
sweet thing I have never heard that in my life how sweet. (Gawd I have
never forgot that and made sure I passed it on to my daughter which she
passed on to her friends we have had many laughs about it but ohhh I
could have melted at the time)

I'm just so thankful that I never allowed the N word around my kids.
Moral to the story always watch what is said around little ones for they
do repeat what they hear. Now were did she get the chocolate at I have
no clue. Minds of children lord only knows were they get some of there
ideals.

My daughter at 2 did pretty much the same. Loving the barbie type dolls she decided she prefered the "chocolate" male doll over any of the others and verbalized such in Walmart.

That's adorable... in my family we never used words of hate either. I can't stand to hear little kids use them, it shows the quality of the home I think.

Shshs well I guess the saying Chocolate Babies is more common then I thought it was. I know this was many years ago but at the time if there had been a hole near by I would have sunk into it but for sure it is something that has stuck in my mind all these years.
