Will Sarah Palin withdraw or McCain replace her before McCain accepts the nomination tomorrow night?

Let's hope not. She is what that ticket needs.
The only Ticket she needs is back to Alaska, with her 5 Kidsfrustrated

Translation: A woman's place is raising the kids, not having a career.
So She is every Woman? She is the end all be all? she is who we all should want our daughters too be like? I will start working on that right nowfrustrated

Oh, so women should work, just not Sarah Palin? Why the exception for her? Why is it that she, who has accomplished so much is so little time, doesn't deserve to have a job, but other women can have them?

Right, because Democrats never have kids get pregnant at 17 and Democrats never tell their kids not to have sex until older and well, you know what--I was watching a show not long ago about a man who was very much against gangs. He had worked a lot of his adult life trying to help mediate gang violence and spent a lot of time telling kids that gangs were no answer.

Oddly, his son or a relative of his joined a gang and paid the price. So, we should probably tell him to abandon his message--I mean, obviously he's a really bad parent/relative and he should probably just stop.

-Drew

Kids, doing something which they know will make their parents angry... Let's call it "rebellion". And kids act up a lot from 13 to 19...let's call that the "teenage years". laugh

Democrats are sinking to a new low. Anyone who supports these attacks on Sarah Palin should be ostracised from the Democrat party. These are people who are arguing for a woman to be less than a man. Of course, Palin should be home raising the kids, but Obama's kids are just fine at home with one parent. laugh

It's going to be a crazy election.

It's worse than that but in some ways the Palin camp is playing this all wrong. First of all, her daughter is 17 and the only thing her being pregnant shows is that her parents obviously felt that she was old enough to begin making some of her own decisions. They did not lock her in a cave or never allow her to make choices. That she made one that puts her in the category of being a young unwed mother is one thing but to suggest that it proves that abstinence does not work is just a moronic argument. If the Palin folks were playing this right they could say--"See, look, we love our daughter and we'll love our Grandchild but this is what happens when protection is not used or choices are made in haste." They should not run from this--she's 17, not 15 and I'd also like to point out that I see DAILY 30 year olds who have kids that have all of the smarts and maturity of someone who is 9. So let's not get too excited here about this.

There was no cover-up, she's going to marry the guy and if this was news six months from now, well, it would not be news!

There is already some proof that this line of attack by some (see, some) liberals is not working. Seems that when some people look into their own closets and past they see some things that they would rather they had waited for.

I am not unrealistic--I believe that we should teach sex-education in a practical and real-world way but my point here is that this is not an issue that determines someone's qualifications for VP. IF it is, then a former President who took a VOW of marriage and then an OATH of office and who got a top down view of an intern in a blue dress should have given is reason to question his ability to hold office. I was not in favor of impeachment in that case (it was between him and his wife) and I'm not in favor of booting Gov. Palin back to Alaska for the actions of her 17 year old daughter.

Please, some consistency here.

I realize that, she's an exceptional woman who will be doing one of the cushiest jobs in the Government.

Why is it okay for Obama to work, even though his has several young children, but it's not okay for Sarah Palin to do the same?

Just admit it, your arguments spring from your fear that she could help McCain win the election in November. We already KNOW that is your motivation, so there is no harm in being honest.

Democrats are not the only questioning McCain choice for V.P.. To say it only Dems is wrong. Why are the Repubs not let her do interviews? What are the afraid of?

I say keep her, she will help the Dems come Nov

So the two big issues for women are:

1) Sex Ed
2) Abortions

Judging from the number of abortions a year, Sex Ed is failing. If 50% of the drivers who graduated from Drivers Ed killed someone in a car crash, it would not be acceptable. So she's obviously right on the no Sex Ed position.

Roe v Wade is incredibly bad law, any honest person can admit that. Roe v Wade found a right to an abortion which didn't exist within the constitution. Roe v Wade should be overturned and each state should establish their own laws on Abortion instead of letting five liberal judges dictate law to us from the bench.

So it boils down to this. According to you, women support a failed educational system and an oligarchy style of government.

My ex almost died from getting a legal one...guess what...THEY AREN'T SAFE!!! Sorry to surprise you like that.

Also, appeals to emotions aren't really a good argument. I can just bring up all of the millions of babies who were murdered before they took their first breath. The number of innocent human babies who are killed per year because of Roe v Wade far outweighs the number of women killed in back alley abortions.

But really, how does "Well ask the families of Woman who have died trying to get one in a basement, or back room" trump the fact that Roe v Wade is legislating from the bench? It's an unelected and unaccountable official making a decision which has divided this country for 30 years.

I think she should withdraw, and its because the media (both sides, dems and reps), will hold her too high on a pedal stool, or try to burn her at the stake.

She seems like a great woman, with a great family, and i'd rather not see her have to suffer from the hands of dumbass politics. They are attacking her daughter already, and its just started. What will come up next? I'm almost afraid to think about it. rant
