I saw a request for a topic of this nature so I thought I would take it upon myself to let you guys know whats up flowerforyou

Nice Guys vs. Bad Boys

Guess what? We DO like nice guys! However, we DO NOT like guys who WHINE about women not liking nice guys. So very unattractive. The attraction to bad boys? Well, they are at least being themselves and not whining all day about women not liking who they are or what they are about. It's a matter of confidence guys. Do us all a favor and stop hiding behind the nice guy bit and just grow a pair.

Lavish Gifts vs. Thoughtfulness

Yes, we like gifts, but who doesn't? Do they need to be expensive? NOPE. It truly is the thought that counts. If you take the time to learn our favorite flower and bring ONE with when you pick us up for a date, it's more thoughtful than a dozen red roses delivered at work. If you mess up don't try to bribe us, be a man and give a heartfelt apology. Most of us would rather spend a nice, romantic evening with one of you knuckleheads than be ignored and showered with gifts. Put your wallets away and start using your hearts.

Ladies, feel free to add anything you like, I just wanted to get this started for our clueless counter parts flowerforyou

so glad u mentioned the ONE flower bit. I don't need to watch 12 flowers die. One is quite enough. We want honesty from you guys. Quit trying to sugarcoat your lives to make you seem better then you are. All your gearing up is a huge disappointment on her part.

Thank you, MsMyka, for thinking of this thread. You are so right.

To add on:

Perfection vs Reality

We aren't looking for perfect. We definitely aren't looking for someone who believes he is God's Gift to Women. A man who believes in the reality of everyday life and is willing to work to keep it is a catch worth keeping.

Unless, of course, reality involves a slim wallet and a tiny apartment...lmao

And for you reference

The Job Question:

Does not mean all we are interested in is what kind of money you make so we can spend it as opposed to the fact that you are working.

Some of us have done our fair share of supporting ex husbands or boyfriends and it's never a fun experience

Shared interests vs. time apart...
Yes, it's nice to do things together, but you should have outside interests too (as long as it doesn't involve hitting on other women). I don't want to be joined at the hip constantly. Need to have some "girl time" and think my partner needs some "guy time" too. That way he can hear about how awful his friend's partners are and can appreciate me more (grin).
