- In the morning my lungs fill to the outsides of my chest with a fresh cool air
- The Midwestern grass is covered with dew and the trees have begun to show color
- In the air the birds are gathering in large flocks ready to fly south to escape the winter
- Fall is here and nature explodes with activity, color, and the filling essence of the harvest
- In these days, in these beautiful days, it is here in time that I have met the mate of my soul

- Her hair is auburn like the leaves on the oaks, and her eyes are a deep green like the mature pine
- To hear her voice is to feel the warmth of summer on my arms and the rays of the sun on my back
- Her laughter sprinkles sweet angel dust into my soul mixing with a righteous light given to us by the Lord
- Heaven sent she is, and I wrap her up in my thoughts, I carry her to the place where I rest in my heart
- If we were the maple trees, and our love be the gently falling leaves of autumn, then we would find the colors of our life mixing together on the ground before us

- Remember to breathe a breath for me as you take my breath away, we’ll do it together
- Come to me lover, woman, guardian of my soul, let’s take a breath and see what happens
- As we draw each other so close one to the other, we will begin to breathe the same air with our lips
- We will step off the branch of that tree, and it may be a while before we hit the ground
- I have been given faith that our leaf of love will fall into a place of safety and security

- Looking to the ground with my colored maple leaf arms out‐stretched, I jump off the limb of the tree
- A gust of wind that the Creator has put in place takes charge of my fall and propels me toward the sky
- The air that surrounds me is the same air that you and I both take into our chest
- I look and I am soaring like an eagle high above the maples and oaks in the forest below
- I may be falling but I am not afraid because I am falling with you and beside you, we are falling together

- This is the time of our life when we feel the harvest; the gardens of our single heart are giving forth fruit
- We are mature in these days, and our love is pure, our love is falling together like the leaves in the wind the Creator has made
- Harvest time has come to us both, we breathe in the same air, we desire the same things, and we two are one
- We are as one leaf falling into the wind, raptured by the gusts and strengths
- God has given us Our rich desire longs to become joined as one as we share each other’s breath, breathe a breath for me

I wrote this for a woman I met on here a while back. I am a good man, with many good qualities. Shortly (a few days) after I wrote this poem for her, we were on the phone and she was very angry at her classmates in college. For no reason she turned her anger to me, and started pointing the fores of her wrath in my direction. I had done nothing to provoke her whatsoever.

After a few minutes of that I told her to go to hell and hung up on her. I did not deserve to be a dumping station for her dysfuntional tirade, and I did not deserve to be treated in the manner in which she was treating me. Any reasonable person would have hung up on her....

And then she lost a man that she said she loved... who has a heart to write poetry like this... as the French say... "C'est la Vie"... or "such is life"...

She told me I was her everything... I guess everything included becoming a verbal punching bag for her angry emotional outlet????????

Not...

I am nobody's fool... and I'm not a drama punching bag

Now she is trying to enlist her friends to hurt and threaten me... and I did nothing wrong... it was all her drama..........

Are there any good women left on the planet? Some that do not have an unstable emotional makeup?

Damn.....

I have my doubts

I also know how to make an escape from a potential drama mess...

It is ashamed that one does not see what they have before them when they have it. We can only hope that someday we will find that special one that will be like a breath of fresh air to our souls. The one that will capture our heart within and hold it dear. The one that when we wrap our arms around them and look deep within their eyes we will see everything we ever wanted before us.

I'm sorry that happen to you but.......it is best to find out early that they are not the one you thought they were before it was too late. For when things like that happen we must remember they were but a stepping stone to the one that will be.bigsmile

Awww this was so not warranted and I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart that this happen to you. I think the saddest part about it is that it makes good men put up walls for potential great woman.....at least until their hearts mend......

We all suffer hurts in the quest for love. Hopefully every experience prepares us for the love that is meant to last a lifetime. Taking time to heal allows us to once again be vulnerable and open our hearts again to one that truly deserves it.flowerforyou flowerforyou

I truly think it won't take toolong to mend from this one...

I believe this way, that it was a very good thing this happened. As TxsGal says, it is good it happened early on... I don't have an empirical scientific reason why it happened, but I can explain it metaphysically... God wanted this to happen to spare me the hurt later on.

Eventually, in the right time, I will find love, and I will be satisfied... but it won't be to someone chock full of drama from every angle... what is most deceptive are the women who can maintain a straight face, and even a bascially even tone, yet be run through with drama and head issues...

Those are they that God will build a wall around me... a FORTRESS around me to protect my heart...

As you can see by the poem, I was hooked and sincrely so... I just don't get the abuse... I surely don't... and as any reasonable person would... I ended this thing immediately, with no hesitation...

As I heard one wise person say explaining a situation to another...

"I don't deserve to be around all of the hurt..."

How true...

I deserve the best... and I'm holding out for the best...

thing is, she is even more brutal and vengeful, and not contrite or sorrowful about the end of our communication one bit... that is how I truly know she would have no part in me.... because that is as far a distance from me as the east is from the west... and something of some such poetic lineage...

yup... I'm holding out for someone that deserves what I have to offer... none less....

damned if I didn't think I had found her this time... wow was I wrong.... especially judging her actions of the last 24 hours... very hurtful, very spiteful... and not apologetic at all... wow....

I need to RUN from this one.... borderline sadistic....

truly her loss

Thanks feralcatlady.....

...it helps to come back here and vent a little bit...

At first, I was going to delete my username and account... but I decided at that she wins and I lose....

So I came here and posted a poem I wrote for her and told the truth about what happened to me... not to whine, but to tell a story... I'm a big boy...

I'll be right back at it come morning....

:-)

and that old saying....."The truth will set you free" your free telephone man...and drama free.......so in the end you are such the winner.

Your an amazing man.......

and your greatest revenge....although don't like to use that but for lack of better words....HAPPINESS true unconditional love from someone who will appreciate you. We have not agreed in the past on much....But one thing I am certain of...Your a good good man and true to those you give your heart to....

very touching write in more ways than one.

I believe you know there are many good women, without the drama as there are men also.

"And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Thank you for sharing. And I do believe God makes us stronger with each new thing we endure. When it seems the world closes in on me, He is there to turn to... and He never fails.
