Everytime I see a sign that says, "end road work", I get a feeling I should be protesting...

I saw one that said "End Construction" and I just blurted out "....in our time." Not sure what that means.

My problem with the "end of road construction" sign is that I never seen the damn "begin road construction" sign! I never see any construction!I always wonder if I had just spaced out for the last 3 miles or if someone is just playing a cruel joke on me.

Seriously- I think there must be some underground movement to end construction..hmmmm.

Around here, there are a lot of signs that say "Trucks Entering And Leaving Highway" and "Trucks Entering Highway," but none that just say "Trucks Leaving Highway." Presumably, some trucks get on the road and stay there forever.

My personal favorite was the "Burger King Movie Gallery" sign I saw a few weeks ago in a construction zone in Indiana. There have been SO many great movies about Burger King over the years....

My favorite one that I have never seen, but would love to, is "Road Ends 10,000 Miles."

Speaking of which, there's a sign on the sidewalk just off Rte. 53 in Illinois, near Lisle (might be in Woodridge or something), that actually says "Sidewalk Ends" right where the sidewalk ends. As if you wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I actually have pictures of this one.

Isn't that the truth! I made 4 trips from Ohio to Elizabeth City in June and July and saw many places like that on I-64...why aren't they working???
