this actually looks like a religion forum

"It's disturbing, to say the least, to know that any religion is being
corrupted and twisted to strike out and kill."

i dont condone killing in the name of god or anything else for that
matter...BUT... can somebody tell me the difference between a islamic
extremist and a christian extremist???...
those who choose to follow the christian faith seem to forget the times
throughout history when people died in the name of the christian god as
well...the crusades were not a peaceful time....how many people died at
the stake while somebody shook a bible in thier face???...how many
abortion clinic bombings???...even the kkk hides behind the cloak of the
christian god??? are they not radical???......so again my question...the
difference between an islamic extremist and a christian
extremist????....there are some pretty scary people who hide behind the
holy bible.

While I wasn't wanting a political spin on the issue, I can see how that
could or would happen. I too prefer to see and think of the comforting
side of faith but know the world can be an ugly place. Is why the
article so interested me. What's important is what is in our heart's.
And despite all odds, I have faith, for all the right reasons

Dan,
It's impossible to say that religion hasn't been political over the time
since man considered a higher being/beings. Entire cultures have been
based on religious beliefs, So is this Islamic wave.
