YALL CAN JUDGE ME, CRITIZE ME, AMD TELL ME ALL THE THINGS YOU WANT. I

i know what you mean man. i know ALOT of young people who grew up that
way.i try to help people who need a place to crash.some HAVE stole from
firedragon76 and myself, others got help from welfare for a place.and
when they did they TRIED to pay us for helping them out.all we say to
them is: help someone else that needs the help. there is an old saying
from the bible that i was raised on:do unto others what you would want
done unto you. i believe this VERY much.i honestly did live on the
streets of EDMONTON,ALBERTA,CANADA.for only to see what it was like.it
was h-e-ll.it honestly was.

good for you I'm glad but my original opinion still stands. You can only
blame youth and circumstances for so much at some point in time you have
to take responsibility and grow up. I'm glad your making something of
yourself and i love your writing.

NSC,,, I commend you and the strength you had and have to raise your
brother in the situation that was thrown upon you, You are a very
Intelligent young man and have a gift of writing what comes from within
your heart and allow the world to see that,,, But,, and yes thier is a
but,,, Gangs have and always will be around this I know,,, My point
being is that they kill, destroy society and tear apart homes, Where is
the Justification in this,,, from Drugs to Guns to Senseless killings,,,
Still to this day my son and his friends have a hard time dealing with
thier bestfriends death, A 16 year old life taken
by the hand of a gang,,, senseless killings need to stop,,, So tell me
how does Society deal with this acitivity How do families cope to move
forward when the one thing they
Loved the most is gone,,,

And another thing. Of course gangs do terrible stuff but when you're
facing a loaded gun. What do you do at that point. And Iceprincess I
totaly respect your opinion. Hell....your right but what else can be
done?

I agree with your feelings on gangs, but in his case they helped him
survive and support his younger brother. He has turned his life around
and is working at a good job. He has faced huge hardships in his young
life (ones I can't even imagine) and come out the other side. He is
intellgent, his writings prove that, and I support Buttons in backing
him. I don't support gangs, but they did help him survive at that point
in his life. He is 18, and moving ahead and think he should be
commended for what he has accomplished, not put down for what he went
through to get there.

Keep up the good work and great writing NSC.

wether he is or isn't lying is beside the point. personally i could
really care less as long as it's not around my children. as for whts to
be done? like i said grow up be a man or a woman quite blaming society
and your so called gangs you have a choice no it's not easy but neither
is having a child of rape and there are those of us who raise them
everyday.

and how does an 18 year old put another kid through college? they are
people out there that do have it tough so why make a story about your
life like that. i would believe if he wasnt only 18.

hey kid Icepricess i really appriciate that ****. it takes a lot of
balls to do that. We all just gottsa remember that we all got stories
about our lives. (My Dad beat the **** out of me all the time before he
left me}, whatev, were all alive and we should be ****in proud of that.
theirs a lot of good people that aren't even ****in breathing right now,
so lets leave the public awareness to the media!

in most cases there are few ways to enter a gang, and that is through
crime,of one sort or another, but also in MOST cases only one way out of
a gang,FEET FIRST.

unless you put forth your best efforts to get you and your little
brother out of that area, you are making good enough money to send him to
school?then you have enoughh to move to another area,or state,I suggest
you do this without telling anybody from your gang, just pack up a few
things and hit the road, get on a bus,or if you have a car, whatever, get
out now!

and there ARE programs out there that can help people in your
situation, but it is up to you to ask for that help.

AGAIN,just because you may or may not have had a hard life, does not give
back to those who have lost their families due to gangs
nor will that gang help you when your chips REALLY are down.
if you were at the head of that gang, there would be a dozen or more
looking to make their name within that gang, and killing you would only
be a notch in their belt,or killing your little brother, would only get
them one more rung up that ladder.

In short,GET as FAR AWAY from them as you can,and tell nobody where you
are going.
If you love your brother like you say, then this should be your first
priority, get to SAFTY,then worry about school.
and if you are worried about your job?ask the boss for a transfer, tell
your boss your problems in private,he might help you more than you know.

on the other hand, you could take over the gang, and try to do something
FOR your comunity, instead of praying off of them.

Gangs are another form of terrorism, and are a fools game.

Get an attorny and sue your parents for child support,
you have at lease that much comming if you raised your brother.

PEACE OUT

Sorry for the hardship you had to endure, but yes you DO have the chance
to "do good." We ALL have a choice. I have never had it "easy" and my
mother raised six kids by herself from the time I was 12 years old. I
got involved in things I shouldn't have, but criminal activity was NEVER
one of them -- and never will be.

You have choices in this life and no one but you are responsible for
those choices. One does NOT defend themselves or their "turf" by
initiating aggression.
