Ok, so everyday on the news I hear them talk about election day, which is November 4th correct? So why do people get to start voting early like they do in Florida? What the hell? I don't like it at all.grumble

Both sides like to get as many votes under their banner as possible as soon as possible.

That way if something happens that is big... those voters will allready have voted and won't have a chance to change their minds.

wondered myself - this is what I found:

Early voting takes place in person before Election Day. Voters cast their ballots in person at an election official's office, a county clerk's office, or at other satellite voting locations. Early voting laws vary from state to state. Some states offer "no excuse" early voting, which means any registered voter can vote early for any reason. Other states only allow early voting under a limited set of circumstances. Finally, some states don't have any form of early voting. If you can't make it to the polls on election day, you can always vote by absentee ballot.

It was originally supposed to be for special circumstances..... going to be out of the country (our out of town), going to be in the hospital, going to be performing a week long cult ritual... whatever.

Now though I think most anyone can vote early if they want. Doesn't really change the vote except that perhaps more people participate.

I just have a bad feeling that there is going to be a lot of shenanigans going on with this election process and it will end up in the courts.

 I live in Florida. I always vote early, in case I am charged with a felony before election day and have my vote discounted.

I know some people get the absentee forms to avoid the lines on election day.

I live in Ohio...

Judging by the outrageous actions of our Secretary of State...

My vote will be diluted by some 65,000 unreal peoples votes.

ACORN submitted as of the last time I checked... 650,000 registrations of which roughly 10% are KNOWN to be illegal.

Yet our Sec of Stupid has decided that those votes (ACORN submitted - most likly Democratic) must also be counted.

Even though she knows them to be false.

The Democratic Party knows them to be false, The feds know them to be false, The Supreme Court KNOWS them to be false... Yet all concerned do nothing.
