I have had three different people tell me this week alone, that I have showed interest in, that they think I am a great friend and would not want to wreck that.

Is that how I am meant to live out my life? As a friend? OK, sure, great friend. I can respect that, but I can be more then a great friend, I think.

Do I really throw off that "good friend" vibe in stead of a good "girlfriend vibe"? huh

You're smart and funny and creative -- I think maybe that intimidates some guys, I don't know. They know they're not on your level, and never will be.

I have a similar problem. People "like" me, but I'm not relationship material. Maybe because I know what I want and people don't like that part.

Dan suggested last night that maybe the fact I have published two books intimidates people. I can't really grasp that concept, but maybe it's true, I don't know.

I wasn't doing any better here BEFORE I published the books, so I'm not sure there's a real cause-and-effect scenario there.

Friends are fine, though. It would just be nice to run into someone who wasn't afraid of something deeper.

Just keep your eyes open. You're definitely a catch; you just need for the right person to figure that out.

Lex, you are also a great guy. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I guess that I look at my number of posts and the fact that I have been here for two years and not once have I found somebody that is interested in more then just friendship. So I start to wonder that maybe people are not that far off.

My condolences for you becoming a friend. You were such a nice person, too. I hope you can overcome this tragedy.tears

Hmmmm

I have a question...

How CHALLENGING are you? Do you make others work at it to get to know you? To earn your respect and have you open up to them?

Is there anything that would indicate a thrilling chase with an awesome prize at the end?

Are you MYSTERIOUS?

Those are all good things to help you get OUT of the friend zone....with new people.

OK, that was more then A question. And what do nay of those questions matter? I am me, and that is the only thing that really counts.

Whisper - No one knows you better than you know yourself. Do you have what it takes to be in a relationship?

Believe in yourself Sweetie!

No disrespect intended, but Marie actually brings up some good points. It might not be a bad idea to reflect a little bit to see if there's an error someplace (HA! You've got E.S.P. -- error someplace! laugh laugh laugh).

Just sayin'.
