I don't go to bars very often in the first place. Much less " smelly, smoky " ones...lol

I am and I have never been in one. I am tired of them sending all their drunks to the diner where I work. All those guys that didn't hook up come in all drunk and spill food and pinch my butt.

Never-mined ....I kind of like it. Most of the guys are sweet and just need a little love and bacon.

I don't drink and I don't go to bars and I wouldn't be interested in anyone who does. Turns out I'm not too interested in much of anybody else, either.

Not a "bar kind of person" not that there is a type..I have been in 3 long term relationships w/ guy who have drank enuf for us BOTH. It is not fun to have to clean up after or babysit a drunk....so since I am a mother (and proud of it) I feel my place is to take care of my son first and foremost and not to spend time in a bar..as my life will then be mine when he is out of the house..(just my opinion, of course :)

I don't drink much any more. In the time following my divorce, I went to bars quite often. I was all drunk half the time and half drunk all of the time. On my good nights, I'd wind up with someone who was uglier(and I'm not necessarily talking about looks) the I am. And that was on the good nights.

So, if I imbibe nowdays it's in the comfort of home. As for sex, well...it's a lot like bridge. If you got a good hand, you don't need a partner.

Hi Brian welcome to mingle2.. I dont know what you classify as a "single bar". Seems there are both singles and married people in bars. I used to go in bars I grew out of that yrs ago. However, I do like to play cards once in a while <Texas Holdem>. Maybe a couple of times a yr. play a game of pool, or some special get together etc. Some have great food too the best hamburgers in town at a bar down the street so I'll go eat there once in a while. Now as far as the smokie bars... I smoked for 34 yrs, I remember when they had to put in ventilation that made a big difference some bars then I seemed to be choking in smoke after that. I'm sure it's cause their ventilator didnt work as well as the others..So being a smoker I even had a hard time going into those bars. Now that I dont smoke <2 months> I have been in the bar 3 times. One bar is in Sellwood I went to play cards, and the 2 smoking bars once for lunch, the other for cards. OMG! I about died in there, it stunk so bad!!!!!!!!! Look at it this way.. after January there will be no smoking in bars in Oregon so you dont have a long wait. And as far as going to a bar to meet someone? Well I never did that when I was single. I did go dancing and watch karoke often back in the single times of my life but went to have fun, not with the intent to meet anyone for a date.

Been there, done that.....the thrill is gone. I can do only so many random one night stands before it just becomes an emotionless flesh hunting experience. Glad it is all behind me. I am really happy that nothing of value came out of it because being jaded to it left me available for the love of my life when she came calling.

Bars are ok every once in a while. For the most part, though? They're not very exciting at all.

if you go to them a little earlier then you wont be as tired

than going to marrieds bars

I always found the bar scene to be intolerable. Nowadays I might hang out with friends on a night in a bar, but it's not a place I would want to look for women.
